I delight in a woman’s laugh. Especially when I am the one triggering it. I find comedy clubs amazing, because I love to watch and hear a loved one laugh and surrender themselves so completely to the moment. While a baby’s smile and laugh are charming, they don’t compare to me saying just the right words that elicit a lover's uncontrollable laugh.

I spend a lot of time reading. Usually with a purpose, but have been known to get sucked into great storytelling. Both as a writer and a reader. I can hold my own with conversation, writing, and even texting.

I have traveled a bit... I think 22 countries... of course a couple were only flights in and out, but I have lived overseas for part of my adult life and thoroughly enjoy travel and discovering more about the planet. Of course with the great expansion of cable TV a lot more is viewable on screen, however, you can never learn the scale, the smell, the feel of a place, nor the people, without being there.

Searching, exploring, and discovering. Reading a lot of self-help, observing others online and off, assessing a life time of learnings to guide me on my journey. I am opening myself up to the possibilities and pushing myself to "get busy living" rather than be satisfied with the status quo.
Not sure if this makes sense to anyone else... but it is what I am doing.

Read a lot of books on improving myself, learning new things. Very little fiction. But I do like to write fiction.
Movies - like ones with messages best. No horror movies. Not into extreme action movies.
Shows - very open. Love comedy clubs, especially to watch and listen to a woman laugh.
Music - variety. Partial to smooth jazz. I like music that can move me... I like being able to hear and understand the words of songs. And, I am terrible at knowing the artist's names.
Food - favorites are pasta and Mexican.
Exercise - treadmill almost every day.

What's next for my life... As I begin this phase, what do I want to accomplish, where do I want to live, what do I want to do, what do I need to know about myself in order to plot a general course. My plans are always flexible, I don't like to pen things down much outside of work. I "go with the flow" a lot but I am always reminded of a quote, "If you don't know where you are going, any road will do."
I like to at least know where I might want to end up before setting out. Now is a good time to discover where it is I want to go. And, if I'm lucky, who I want to go with...

I am rejoicing that the week's work is behind me. Switching to relaxation mode. Ready for the pursuit of happiness, at home, or somewhere else. In the last year or so I have been able to disconnect from work-mode and learn to develop focus on activities outside of the office. This has been a major turning point for me.

Not yet divorced. We are separated; she lives and works in New Mexico, I am here. I have moved on and am emotionally ready for the next stage in my life.
