I never know where to start with this sort of thing...

I spent most of my life in New Mexico, being raised by my non-traditional Mexican family. I graduated from college, and moved to WA in 2006.

I like it when I can make people laugh. I have a bit of a dry sense of humor. I can also be very sarcastic, and crude. I'm pretty even-tempered. I try to plan things, but am able to adapt easily when things don't go as planned. I don't like making decisions for other people (like where to eat dinner)...if push comes to shove, I usually come up with options to choose from.

When new to a situation, I tend to take on the role of observer.

I keep my emotions inside. Not to say that I don't have emotions, I just tend to internalize them until I can make sense of them, or they pass. That being said, I tend to be fairly rational and logical.

I like to try new things: hiking, snowboarding, rafting, scuba diving, sky diving, motorcycle riding, etc...but I'm not the type of person to get crazy into something and do it every free moment.

I really want to do more international travel.

Learning to really enjoy life.

2014 - Back to Washington state.

People that don't know me - That I'm some kind of Asian.
People that know me - That my hair is getting long.
People I let really close - That my skin is soft.

Or, my shyness. I come out of my shell once I get to know people and figure out what they're about.

Books: Stone Butch Blues. Alma Mater. Valley of the dolls. Brave New World. Dan Brown's books. Recently read The Perks of Being a Wallflower, The Alchemist, several Tess Gerritsen books. Currently reading Life of Pi.

Movies: Juno, Anchorman, Wedding Crashers, Superbad, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Mulholland Drive, Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, Girl, Interrupted, 500 Days of Summer, GIA...

Music: There are artists that I always go back to, like Fiona Apple, Ani DiFranco (Living in Clip), Sleater-Kinney, Yeah Yeah Yeahs. Others I like include Lykke Li, The Gossip, Glass Candy, Tegan and Sara, Mirah, Lhasa de Sela, MGMT, Phoenix, Neko Case, She & Him, Goldfrapp, The Mynabirds, Top 40 hits...even some country. Recent songs I've purchased are by Paloma Faith, Kimbra, Icona Pop, Zola Jesus, Emeli Sande.

Food: I am willing to try new things. I love noodles. I love Italian food because I love tomatoes. I love sushi, yakisoba, pad thai, tom yum soup, curry (Indian and Thai)...generally just like good tasting food. LOVE spicy food. I don't have much of a sweet tooth, but I love ice cream. I generally drink three things: water, coffee, and beer.

TV: Modern Family, New Girl, Nip Tuck, United States of Tara, TLW, The Office...
I recently started watching Glee, The Walking Dead, and American Horror Story.

Chapstick, water, good food, good company, movies, my phone (loaded with books, music, google maps...)

I haven't been in DC long enough to establish a typical Friday night. I've spent some nights in, watching a movie/tv series. I've gone out to clubs alone...and felt super awkward about it. I've walked miles with a friend trying new restaurants/bars. Gone to see a few movies.

I'm generally more attracted to feminine girls.
