My self-summary
I'm a little bit Marshall Erickson, Ted Mosby, and Chandler Bing... maybe with a little bit of The Doctor tossed in on awesome days.

I'd rather hang out with a small-ish gathering of friends than a crazy crowded party (same with bars unless there's music involved). I disc golf every weekend I get the chance (awesome combination of hiking, drinking, throwing frisbees and swearing at trees that ruin what could've been a good throw... supposing you didn't know). I have a twin sister, a mild netflix addiction, and play guitar. Also, with a B.A. in English and an M.F.A. in Creative Writing (screenwriting), somehow I found myself trading stocks, but it's like a weird money making puzzle that's both challenging and fun, so I enjoy it.

And lastly, here's a link that somewhat explains me: - Buzzfeed - INFJ "Problems"... Don't know if I'd call them problems, but there's a decent amount of truth to this.
I’m really good at
Listening to other people's problems and giving advice, writing dialogue, writing in general, tarot card readings (at least for myself, but I can do them pretty well for other people too, just haven't had much practice), cooking (when I actually do it/have someone to cook for), using parenthesis... and ellipses... talking relatively intelligently on things that I have little actual clue about, talking intelligently on things that I actually know about... you know, let's just put conversation in general on the list, not being attached to my phone (I don't have a smart phone, so it makes the process a little easier)...
The first things people usually notice about me
My glasses or my beard I'd guess... kind of hard not to notice them since I almost always have them.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: Tao of Pooh, How to Write a Screenplay for Fun andProfit (no joke, (minus the red) that's exactly how the title is on the book. It's both hilarious and informational), The Giver, The Golden Compass, The Zombie Survival Guide, Johnny Got His Gun, The Calvin and Hobbes series, Emotional Equations.

Movies: I like almost all genres of movies, I just have to be in the mood for whatever I'm watching, otherwise, I've been more into TV as of late, but... The Avengers, serenity, Garden State, Charlie Bartlett, Super Troopers, Once, Idiocracy, Stranger Than Fiction, Dawn of the Dead (2004), Lucky # Slevin, Definitely Maybe, Dazed and Confused, Rounders, The Invention of Lying, Shaun of the Dead, Christopher Nolan's Batman series, Good Will Hunting, 500 Days of Summer, Love Actually, Field of Dreams, Accepted, Wristcutters, Big Fish, Ratatouille, Finding Nemo, Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Bickford Shmeckler's Cool Ideas, Rocket Science... Could've listed more, but that's a pretty decent list right there...

TV: Doctor Who, Breaking Bad, House of Cards, The Walking Dead, The Newsroom, How I Met Your Mother, Firefly, Dollhouse, Pushing Daisies, Friends, Community, Burn Notice, and Inkmaster.

Music: Alt. rock, folk, good rap (stuff that actually talks about issues), classic rock... I don't know, I'd say it's easier to say what I don't regularly listen to - metal (with a few exceptions), crappy pop, dub step... Few specifics that I like/have liked a lot in the past - Mumford and Sons, Ani Difranco, Damien Rice, Old Crow Medicine Show, The Avett Brothers... and much more.
The six things I could never do without
Good food/drink
Good conversation (may be 7, but that needed to be there)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
A lot... hypothetical situations, non-hypothetical situations, how to do things better and more efficiently, fun end of the world situations, my future and all its possibilities, refining my stock strategy, food, fun, etc., etc., etc.
On a typical Friday night I am
Usually going out for a few drinks, hanging out with friends, sometimes a simple night in... it's all good and usually depends on my mood.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I don't even know what my most private thing might be... I'm a pretty open book, so defining "private" is difficult.
I’m looking for
  • Girls who like guys
  • Ages 22–31
  • Near me
  • Who are single
  • For new friends, long-term dating, short-term dating
You should message me if
I'll take this space to share a "what I'm looking for" thought process... A friend... I mean, it's kind of a cop out answer since there are so many sub-elements to a really good friend, but I'd say that's the long and short of it... but to elaborate, here's a mini-list of thoughts:
Some similar interests, similar-ish sense of humor (bounces between pretty damn smart to decently messed up), the ability to have an intelligent conversation, the ability to have a stupid conversation, encouraging each other to make good or empowering moves, the ability to argue without it really affecting the friendship...

So, if you're looking for something like that, that'd be a pretty good reason to message me :)

Bonus Points!
You're not constantly attached to your cell phone... it's kind of an increasingly big pet peeve for me.

You send a hello message with more than a single question or "hey [insert generic 'what's up' here]..." (yeah those messages happen to guys too). I know it's awkward as fuck to hit someone up on these things, I definitely do it sparingly, but I try and put some substance into it at least... even if it comes off as awkward as fuck...

You're a fan of Doctor Who, anything or everything Joss Whedon, zombie related stuff/conversation, bourbon, good beer, the occasional board game, the occasional video game, you wouldn't mind going out to karaoke, or trivia, or bowling... or disc golf, writing, singing, puns, cuddling (really though, who doesn't like cuddling)... and probably some other stuff that's just not coming to mind. Any combination of the above would be a decent reason to send a hello.
