My self-summary
I am from a tiny little town on the Olympic Peninsula of Washington State. I lived/worked and educated myself on both coasts, traveling all over the place in between. I am very excited to now be in New York and experiencing the people and culture of an amazing city.
What I’m doing with my life
Everyday I'm hustlin'. I graduated from law school. I worked for an oil company. I hated it, so I decided to move to NYC and try my luck here. I'm a hired gun, for now.
I’m really good at
Humility? (joking.) I dunno... I have a high standard of what "really good at something" means. I don't think I'm old enough yet.

That said, I can almost always pinpoint the humor in a situation. I would optimally like to spend time with someone who can do the same.
The first things people usually notice about me
I'm a big dude. I'm 6'3 with my shoes off, and have a big chest and shoulders. When I'm at some hole-in-the-wall bar, I wish I could shrink myself.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I will usually read a book/ watch or show or movie if only for the pop culture relevance of it. With that said, I've seen and read a lot and find some value in it all. It kind of takes away from the exercise of exposing your mind to something new if you have to consider if it is your "favorite", don't you think?

TV: Been watching a lot of Girls lately (Masculine, I know). I hung out in the Baltimore projects the summer I watched The Wire. The M*A*S*H episodes without the laugh track are extraordinary. Downton Abbey. Ron Swanson. Twin peaks. Freaks and Geeks.

Movies: Pop and Arthouse; I like 'em all. I still haven't been to the Nighthawk...anybody down to go?

Books: Popular nonfiction. Modern classics. I read a lot of Michael Lewis and Malcolm Gladwell in the last year. Steinbeck is always a gem. Vonnegut.

If you openly say "50 shades of Grey," like its some proclamation of your sexuality...feel free to stop reading now.

Food: I take the Bourdain approach to food; I'll always try something new. I can't really think of a cuisine that doesn't appeal to me in someway.

Also, I'm always down for a play or musical. I'm frequently blown away when I watch talented people performing their craft live.
The six things I could never do without
1.) Music Collection/ iPod

2.) My closest friends

3.) The "Random Article" button on Wikipedia

4.) My favorite old sweatshirts

5.) My passport

6.) A great cup of coffee
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How I am going to accomplish the things I want to with the time and resources that I have available to me.

Also, dinner.
On a typical Friday night I am
Lately, working a lot of hours. However, when I'm free, I love exploring the city. I'm a big fan of filling up the iPod with a good playlist and walking/riding around the city at night.

I am always down for a new restaurant or bar.

I also understand the value of staying in with takeout, and catching up on my Netflix/Seamless queue.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
oh god...the thought of this question is making my future career prospects quiver....
