My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm a geek, by which I mean that I have a few things that I'm interested in, and I tend to delve deeply into each one at the expense of a breadth of experience. I can usually manage to have three such interests at a time, with one slot being permanently taken by my writing and another by some sort of silly casual game.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I work in a cubicle, helping to develop e-commerce software. It's really not so bad.

I am also an amateur game designer, which is the writing to which I alluded in the previous section. Many of my spare brain cycles are devoted to analyzing and comparing probability distributions, and their relative suitability toward representing various narrative constructs.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Video games? I once won free rentals for a year by doing well at Donkey Kong Country, though I did not even score well enough to make it to regionals.

I'm not as devoted to games as I used to be, what with working 9-5 and all, but I can still put up a good show. If there's some sort of patterns or math that can be exploited to increase performance, I can usually figure that out and use it to my advantage. Many Facebook games suffer in this regard.

Also, I'm pretty okay at figuring out how to fit ice cream into my diet. That's just a math problem, though.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
In person, it's probably my height, even though I don't consider myself to be exceptionally tall.

Over the internet, it tends to be one of various facial features.

The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1-4) Internet access
5) Running water, preferably hot
6) Public transit
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
... imaginary conversations with fictional characters.

... math.

... continuity.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Probably catching up on my video games. For some reason, it's hard to find time during the week.

I don't get out much. I'm not one to visit the bars and/or clubs. (I don't drink the alcohol.) For me, an enjoyable evening involves staying in and playing a game of some sort - be it video, board, or role-playing in nature - or possibly just enjoying one of the many fine shows on Netflix.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I eat pizza with a knife and fork. I wash my hands frequently, and I really don't like to get them dirty.

I don't drive? I would think that should be obvious, from above, but it's worth mentioning again. If I treat this section as "most embarrassing secret", then it kind of fits.

I frequently quote Harry Potter, but probably not the one you are thinking of.
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
... you want to play Scrabble; or, even better, you want to teach me how to play an obscure board game that most people have never heard of.

... you are Lawful Good, or if the sum of your Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff aspects outweigh the sum of your Slytherin and Gryffindor aspects.

... you are looking for the same thing that I am looking for, and you share my views on what makes for an enjoyable evening.
