My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Quirky, geeky, calm. Somewhat smart, but I easily forget things.

I wear my nerd status like a badge of honor. I refuse to wear contacts, I've played Magic the Gathering, grew up on both Star Wars AND Star Trek, been known to pick up a comic or two (or three or four or ten...), LARPed white wolf back in the day and loved it, and I'll always secretly believe that there is a police box out there in the sky saving the universe. Okay so maybe that's not a big secret and the reason I started knitting was to make a REALLY long scarf...
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I do Procurement and am a Tier 1 Tech for a local IT company here in Baton Rouge.

I have a bunch of Hobbies that I cycle through all the time. I like being crafty. I'm not particularly good at any one thing but I like to try different stuff.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Sarcasm.

And Computers! And reading. I can admit I'm a bookworm.

I'm REALLY good at finding complex answers to problems, while completely missing the obvious answer.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm not really sure what to put here. I don't exactly ask people "So when I walked through the door what did you think???"

I suppose they notice my eyes. I do have a pretty set of sky blue's.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Geez I don't even know where to start with this one... Mercedes Lackey is my favorite author, I'm a giant book worm. Going to a book sale fills me with a sense of glee that most people reserve for first dates and life changing events. While my main genre for reading is Si/Fi and Fantasy, I have started to try branching out more, reading biography's and fiction. So far all it's done is remind me why I liked SiFi in the first place.

I'm a horror movie enthusiast but I'll watch just about anything. Due to the Asian horror industry I will probably have a life long fear of black hair.

Every once and a while I'll get in the mood to watch a good old fashioned black and white movie. And recently I've gotten addicted to listening to TEDtalks. If you don't you should, they are amazing.

I love watching Drama's from the Asian side of the world. They are fascinating but they can get tiring really quickly. Aparently Japan and Korea don't believe in happy endings. Ever.

I'm tentatively getting back into Anime, but I'm fairly selective about what I'll spend my time watching. What little regular TV I watch is usually hectic at best.

I listen to a lot of Japanese music called Visual Kei. Mix pretty boys and hard guitars and you can never go wrong. Other than that however I'm pretty much all over the board when it comes to music. I like a lot of the main stream rock like AC/DC,Rolling Stones, Aerosmith, Seether (Yeah, that's right I said I like Seether.) And Perfect Circle.

I also like Frank Sinatra, Louis Armstrong, and Arethra Franklin. I love to listen to instrumental music, mainly from Movie sound tracks (Two Steps from Hell!), and sometimes I just can't resist listening to pop music (Usually Japanese) because it makes me happy and puts me in a good mood. I'm also now very much into nerdcore.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
My son, the light of my life, the apple of my eye. He's the reason I live and breath. He's also the reason I have as much gray hair as I do.
The internet, My Main form of communication with the outside world.
My books, Duh. You should have picked that up by now. I don't read as often as I used to, but looking around my room and seeing the stacks gives me an odd sense of peace
My own space, I know it sounds weird but I need some sort of space, even if it's a small one, to step into and just take a deep breath and get away for a moment.
My sense of self, I've fought damn hard for it these past few years and I'll be damned if I give it up now.
My best friends. I don't have very many really close friends but those that I do have I'm fiercely loyal to.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
I spend way to much time thinking about EVERYTHING. Seriously. I have a hard time getting my brain to shut up.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Watching a movie or reading. Occasionally I do like to go out with my friends but that tends to be a once a month occurrence, if that often.

To be honest Friday night is like every other night of the week for me. I may stay up a little bit longer than on other weekdays but other than that, not much special happening other than an intense round of writing, knitting, and catching up on shows.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I've gotten a stripper to give me her number.
