I am sweet-natured, somewhat shy, and funny..

My Self-Summary

Well, I've actually gotten a handful of inquiries despite the fact that I haven't posted any photos or information about myself. So to those who have asked, I appreciate the curiosity. Describing myself is difficult for me to do, but I am going to attempt it. Keep in mind, though, that the best way to find out about me is to write to me. I love asking and answering questions; I have plenty to ask (sometimes random and/or off-the-wall, sometimes serious), and I love it when people can answer questions honestly, ask a few of their own, and use the questions and answers to start a conversation. And sometimes an argument. A good-natured, all-in-good-fun argument, though. Sometimes a good debate can be fun. (I don't argue/debate until I get to know someone, though; until I'm sufficiently comfortable with them.)

Bit by bit, I'm going to add to this profile; this is just a starting point. So I'm not as boring as I currently appear to be! (Well, okay, I might be. But I at least have more personality, as opposed to being a blank slate.) I'm doing this as I have time (and inspiration; stupid writer's block!), so if one section isn't completed, I will finish it, I promise!

Please keep in mind that I'm not immediately looking to meet people in person. I need to have known someone for a bit to feel comfortable with that. But I'd love to meet people who enjoy e-mails/IM, and can forge a friendship through their use.

What I’m doing with my life

Currently, I'm in college, and I have a part-time job. I enjoy both very much, and they're both important to me. I'm taking distance learning courses via the Internet for now. At some point, I will attend college in person, but this is perfect for right now; I love the online format.

Beyond that, I'm constantly trying to improve at whatever it is I'm doing... or whatever it is I'd like to be doing. One of these days, I'd like to buy a violin, and teach myself to play (again; I played for awhile when I was younger).

The first things people usually notice about me

My height (or lack thereof). LOL. Other than that, I'm not really sure.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Books: Unfortunately, it's been awhile since I've read a book just for fun. I read a lot for school, and then I don't want to read. LOL. I have a list of books I'm hoping to read, though, so I'll let you know if/when I read them, and if any of them become my new favorites.

UPDATE: I've now read the full Twilight saga, which I enjoyed; even moreso than the movie, actually.

Movies: Anything Disney. I love movies, though, and I can usually enjoy anything. (I even forced myself to enjoy the Hannah Montana movie, for my sister's benefit!)

Music: It depends on my mood. I don't like rap/hip-hop, but other than that, I'll listen to just about anything. I don't buy a lot of CDs; I mostly listen to the radio. But I love having music playing in the background while I'm studying or working.

Food: Pretty much anything Italian. Oddly enough, I don't like Indian food; I don't like anything spicy.

The six things I could never do without

Let me think about this one...

1) My family (including pets)
2) My computer (with Internet)

Hmm... still thinking!

I spend a lot of time thinking about

The past, the present, and the future. I'm trying to spend less time thinking about the past, though, and more time looking forward to and planning for the future. (I want to travel!)

On a typical Friday night I am

At home, watching a movie and/or chatting with friends via the Internet. (I love instant messaging. I think it's almost an addiction.)

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I don't drive. I have a fear of driving. Technically, I'm able to, and I've gotten my learner's permit several times, but I've never gone to get my license.

You should message me if

You want to engage in some fun conversations. Or if you're bored.
