My self-summary Propose an edit

I've lived in Colorado since the fall of 2002, when I moved out here to goto college, from Kansas. At first I attended the Art Institute of Colorado for a degree in Media Arts and Animation, but I quit part way after I lost interest (more burn out than anything). I then started taking classes at the Bel-Rea Institute for Veterinary Technicians, and graduated in Sept. 2006. I now work full time at a small animal vet clinic as a Certified Veterinary Technician (Not a veterinarian, I'm the nurse more or less. Guess that confuses people ^-^, so there ya go.), and love very much what I do for a living. Oh yeah! By the way my name is Karen.

Personally I am a very reserved, down to earth, and open minded individual. I love humor (I have a fascination with stand up comedy that I have no idea where it came from, but I like it!), and I try to laugh as much as possible (aaaand I can be kinda sarcastic at times). Course its something I usually hold back, as I am quite a shy gal.

What I'm doing with my life Propose an edit

Right now I tend to throw myself in my work, and rest up on my days off. No real definite plans for the future, but of course that could always change. For right now I'm happy to keep things the way they are.

Hm..not sure. Lol, although I do like to make people laugh a lot. I like to draw (well, used to), but I'm probably my worst critic.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food Propose an edit

BOOKS: Anything in the fantasy genre, mythology, and the like. Some of my favorite authors are R.A. Salvtore, Beth Hilgartner, Mary Brown, Maggie Furey, Marion Zimmer Bradley, Sara Douglass, and many more! MOVIES: Anything EXCEPT chick flicks. Some favs are Fight Club, Lord of the Rings, Kung Pow, Shaun of the Dead, The Crow, 300, Children of Men...etc. MUSIC: Vast is my absolute favorite by far, but I have so many others that I like, it'd be insane to try and just list a few. I like rock, metal, punk, alternative, techno, trance, goth, new age..so on and so forth, but no country or rap...I just don't like em. FOOD: I'll try just about anything once, but I dislike fish and seafood. Looooove strawberries.

Oh, just about anything and everything. Usually what I'm gonna be doing the next day.

Playing a video game, watching movies, reading, or sleeping. Every once and awhile I may draw or paint, but truth be told I seldom do that as much as I used to. In general just being a lazy bum..heh heh.
