I'm also a bit sporty, and have become a little obsessed with competitive cycling (Lance notwithstanding). If you know why Tommy Voeckler is awesome, we'll probably get along pretty well. (note: you don't really have to know who Tommy Voeckler is. Marianne Vos is also awesome).
Aside from the cycling, I also enjoy cooking and soccer. I'm kind of spazzy and bump my shins on things a lot. At any given time, I'm kind of a walking collection of muscle and joint injuries. My other interests are as follows:
In specific terms, I'm a big fan of punk, hardcore, and other degenerate forms of music. I enjoy the visual arts (everything from Flemish painters, to early 20th century graphic design, to comic books); film (Akira Kurosawa, Terry Gilliam, Terrence Malick, and Wes Anderson, to name a couple of directors); food (cooking and dining out); and lots of coffee.
I think I may actually have too many things listed in my profile. I am by no means equally obsessed with all of them, but I also don't believe in hiding one's enthusiasm for something. I like people who are openly enthusiastic about the things that interest them- the whole "over it" pose gets very tiring. That being said- random list of other things GO!: Tom Waits, Hayao Miyazaki, Belgian beer, Los Bros Hernandez, The Mekons, chili, Deadwood, Old-timey music, Colnago bicycles, Battlestar Galactica (the new one), scotch, pastries, ska, early REM, steak, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, the smell of plywood, Medieval Music, Firefly, animals with people's names, The IT Crowd, Sacred Harp singing, The Young Ones, Old Style, not being hit by cars, White Castle, football (the European kind), Arsenal FC, gin martinis, and making lists of stuff.
