"Oh, look at all the places I've been to! I'm in the military and I play guitar, isn't that cool?"
Past Sy was a jack ass.
Anyway, I'm Sy. Hi.
During the summer I go to North Carolina as often as possible. I can surf a bit, but I mostly skimboard, swim, and play bocce or frisbee. Basically any time I'm not at the beach, I'm playing video games. I played guitar a lot in Seattle, but I don't have it in my new apartment yet. I draw when I get energetic or drunk enough, but I haven't been able to come up with much lately. My friends and I play Magic: The Gathering a lot and I'm really good at poker (as long as it's not acey-deucey or Blackjack). I've begun reading comics, too. My favorite superhero is Spider-Man, but the comic I just started is called "Cowboy Ninja Viking". Seems to be about a schizophrenic bad ass. I think I'm beginning to ramble now...
"What video games do you play, Sy?"
Oh, I'm so glad you asked! My favorite is Shadow of the Colossus. The rest is a blend of Mirror's Edge, L4D, Borderlands, a handful of XBLA games, and a bunch of Super Nintendo games that I replay every year. My general policy is: if it isn't co-op, I better be able to speed-run it. Well, fighters are good too. I was so disappointed with SC5, though. I don't know if I'll ever recover
"Oh....that's, uh....cool, I guess? So uh, what movies do you like?"
My favorites are Gentlemen Broncos, Zoolander, Pirates (1986, starring Walter Matthau), and anything by Guy Ritchie or Miyazaki. I guess horror movies are my real favorites, but I can't say that I have a favorite director, or even movie in that category. I just like them all for different reasons.
Mostly punk and techno. I really like The Vandals, cuz they're funny. Anything that relates to video games or internet memes, obviously. I listen to "Space Kitten" radio on Pandora a lot. It's all trippy stuff like Glitch Mob and Polish Ambassador. I can listen to almost anything, but if you exclusively listen to country, we're probably not going to work. That's like, the one kind of music that I can't stand! It's so depressing.
"Yeah, country music is pretty lame. So what are you looking for in a girl?"
I guess I want someone laid back, but still committed to the relationship. I'm really attracted to colorful hair, tattoos, and piercings. I don't like red lipstick/nail polish, long fingernails, cars, or drama.
So that was basically our first date. How about a second? *wonk*
