My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Well, what can I say about myself? I enjoy meeting new people, but it's hard when you're a computer scientist. I'm big on Japan and things like that. Anime, sushi, music, it's all good to me.

Although I am coming off as a bit of a geek, I'm heavily into my hobbies: piano ( and guitar, singing, reading, writing, poetry, and even the odd video game. I'm always up late, too, which may or may not be a good thing; I'm a creature of the night.

I really like going for drives, too. My fellow Canberrans may appreciate the beauty of the city from the top of Mount Ainslie. I often go there just when I need some time alone, look out and think to myself "Hey, this is my city. It's so amazing." And especially on foggy nights, when that rotating light gives an eerie green/red/white glow to the place. <3

I'm really into coding, especially figuring out new patterns in functional languages like Scala and Haskell. If that means anything to you, don't hesitate! Click that little blue button up the top there and say hi!

I also have been getting a little into cosplay of late. But that's just a sometimes food. ;)

I'm quite a romantic on the top; I love to take people out to dinner, walks in the park or maybe a starlight gazing place, and just talk about life.

I also just love lazing around on a weekend morning, sitting outside in the sun and reading the paper, or staying in bed and snuggling with someone. <3

I'm getting somewhat back into regular maintenance of this profile now that I've finished my degree, too.

Three words that describe me: Cogito, ergo sum.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm currently working in software development with a start-up company doing personal data protection.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Playing piano, listening to people, kissing (apparently), programming, and logic.

^ Hells yeah, I used an Oxford comma there. What of it?
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I tend to take things way out of context and over the top.

Also, that I usually wear mascara everywhere, and tend to have a slightly esoteric fashion style.

A nice old lady once said she liked my nail polish.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: Birthday Letters, Orpheus Lost, The Hitch-hiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Crime and Punishment, trashy crime fiction novels, anything by Stephen King, A is for Armageddon, Ring...

Movies: A Scanner Darkly, Cube, Cube 2: Hypercube, Be Kind Rewind, Clive Barker's Hellraiser, Donnie Darko, Mulholland Dr., Lost in Translation, Bridge to Terabithia, Paprika, Ghost in the Shell II: Innocence, Survive Style 5+, Violent Cop, The Girl who Leapt Through Time, hilariously bad horror movies, freakishly good horror movies, A Night at the Roxbury, Rushmore, I <3 Huckabees...

TV: How I Met Your Mother, Big Bang Theory, Dexter, LOST, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Doctor Who, Archer, Breaking Bad, PhoneShop and other assorted Britcoms, Under the Dome, and plenty of anime series...

Music: So I've decided that I like pretty much anything except "gangsta rap" and "country". Most recently I've been getting into the more eclectic circles of breakcore and noise: "Torturing Nurse" and "Duran Duran Duran" are now among my favourite bands.

Food: Anything that tastes remotely nice. Also a guilty pleasure of mine: My Little Pony snacks. They're like McDonald's cookies, but you get a billion of them in a pack. <3
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. My computer
2. Coke Zero
3. My piano
4. My friends
5. Peanut M&Ms
6. My phone
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
My place in the world; how I can balance everything in my life. Or simply what songs to play next in In the Groove...

Amongst other pleasant daydreams. Or regular dreams. You'll have to ask me what my favourite ones are.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Hanging around with my furry friends, getting Grill'd and playing Magic, Weiss Schwarz, League of Legends or some PS Vita.

I like the quiet life. ;)
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I often find myself crying when I wake up and my computer is playing an amazing song.
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
you want an interesting conversation, or perhaps are just feeling a little down and need someone to help you through it. Or you're a good match for me, in which case we should meet up ;) But you should definitely message me. It brightens up my day. ^_^

But seriously, if I look at your profile, please take the time to look through mine - who knows, you might like what you read. I'm really shy, so yeah...

You shouldn't message me, though, if you're not planning on following up the conversation. At least a "sorry, you're just not my type" would suffice.

Feel free to IM me, if I'm online, too. I don't bite. I'll most probably reply to IMs, too. :D

Note that if you've read this far down, you're probably someone I want to know. So please feel free to say hello! ^_^
