My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Hey my name is Dan, I've work and live in London. Looking to meet similar people who care too much about pop culture.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I've just started doing stand up comedy, I'm still pretty new at it but it's going really well. Great fun.

I spend most of the rest of my free time watching films and listening to music. When I'm not doing either of the above, I'm thinking about them or worrying I've not seen quite enough. Then, thinking about politics (mild socialist and feminist), the odd game and occasionally manage to fit my friends and the pub into this hectic schedule.

I work at Ipsos Mori doing research into a load of old stuff.

I'm writing a (hopefully funny) book, which I'm about half way through.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I'm a good piano player (and a less good bassist).
I'm also good at Judo, running and talking about music and I'm pretty witty.
I've got an instinctive knack for Risotto.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm tall, so usually people are too shocked and awed to notice anything else about me at first.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

I like lots of stuff, really into culture in general I guess, music in particular! Sorry about the boring lists.

Music: The Flaming Lips, Radiohead, Outkast, Mclusky, Bowie, Talking Heads, The Smiths, Wu-Tang, Pavement, My Bloody Valentine, Belle and Sebastian, Animal Collective, Kanye etc

Films: The Princess Bride, There Will Be Blood, Annie Hall , This Is England, Volver, Persona, 2001. Malik, Lynch, Fellini, Godard, Antonioni, Coppola etc. The usual worthy nonsense! Oh, and The Room.

Books: KURT VONNEGUT. Dusty political tomes, High Fidelity, Ian Banks, Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy, Watchmen, V for Vendetta, Brave New World, Reading Shakespeare at the moment (trying to work my way through most of his plays) etc

Food: Anything and everything

Shows: The Thick Of It, Spaced, Peep Show, The Killing, Mad Men, Fist of Fun (Other Lee and Herring too!), Seinfeld, Adventure Time, THE WIRE

Comedy: Stewart Lee, Bridget Christie, Sara Pascoe, Richard Herring, Tony Law, Simon Amstell, Eddie Izzard, Daniel Kitson, Josie Long.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
My friends
Not sure I can think of six. I have quite simple needs apparently.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
How I'll deal with hypothetical situations which will never happen. Always pays to be prepared just in case David Bowie asks me to hang out with him in the 70s.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Either at a gig, the Prince Charles Cinema, at some unknown place with drinking with friends or if worst comes to the worst at home with a film.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I spend most of my time wishing I was David Bowie.

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You have at least a little bit of a love for politics and music or films! Or like, you're really cool or something.
Tall people generally preferred for logistical reasons (exceptions can be made).
