My self-summary
Hello, I'm aspiring comedian/writer and Market Researcher. I have written four jokes and half a book. I am capable of all of the usual thoughts and emotions of an unusual twenty five year old man and will talk about them at length. I deal primarily in irony and whimsy.
What I’m doing with my life
I've just started doing stand up comedy, I'm still pretty new at it but it's going well. So I'm doing gigs most week nights now.

I spend the rest of my free time watching films and listening to music. When I'm not doing either of the above, I'm thinking about them or worrying I've not seen quite enough. Then, thinking about politics (mild socialist and feminist), the odd game and occasionally manage to fit my friends and the pub into this hectic schedule.

I work at a research agency doing research into a load of old stuff.

I'm writing a (hopefully funny) book, which I'm about half way through.
I’m really good at
I'm a good piano player (and a less good bassist).
I'm also good at Judo, running and talking about music and I'm pretty witty.
I've got an instinctive knack for Risotto.
The first things people usually notice about me
I'm just one inch off being medically defined as a giant, so generally people are incapable of noticing, or talking about, anything but my height.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I like lots of stuff, really into culture in general I guess. Sorry about the boring lists.

Music: The Flaming Lips, Radiohead, Outkast, Mclusky, Bowie, Talking Heads, The Smiths, Wu-Tang, Pavement, My Bloody Valentine, Belle and Sebastian, Animal Collective, Kanye etc

Films: The Princess Bride, There Will Be Blood, Annie Hall , This Is England, Volver, Persona, 2001. Malik, Lynch, Fellini, Godard, Antonioni, Coppola etc. The usual worthy nonsense! Oh, and The Room.

Books: KURT VONNEGUT. Dusty political tomes, High Fidelity, Ian Banks, Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy, Watchmen, V for Vendetta, Brave New World, slowly reading Shakespeare at the moment (trying to work my way through most of his plays) etc Currently reading Bridget Christie's - A Book For Her. It is EXCELLENT.

Food: Anything and everything

Shows: The Thick Of It, Spaced, Peep Show, The Killing, Mad Men, Fist of Fun (Other Lee and Herring too!), Seinfeld, Adventure Time, THE WIRE

Comedy: Stewart Lee, Bridget Christie, Sara Pascoe, Richard Herring, Tony Law, Simon Amstell, Eddie Izzard, Daniel Kitson, Josie Long.
The six things I could never do without
Music, films, my friends, the internet, a good book, food and basic clothing.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Jokes. My routines run around my head most of the time. I like to think I do clever political comedy, but really it's just puns about bees.
On a typical Friday night I am
Either at a gig, the Prince Charles Cinema, at some unknown place with drinking with friends.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I spend most of my time wishing I was David Bowie.
You should message me if
You have at least a little bit of a love for politics and music or films! Or like, you're really cool or something.
Tall people generally preferred for logistical reasons (exceptions can be made).
