When growing up, I wanted to become an archaeologist or a detective, but later realized they don't actually use a whip or wear cool hats. I'm now happy doing creative work and projects.

Interested in experiencing new things, good food, music, cultural happenings, movies (indie types, but not too picky). I like to know what's going on in the world, and love a good talk or debate. Love traveling and do think it grows you as a person. I must admit, I'm a bit of an adventurer with a perpetual longing for the far away places. Couple of years back, fell in love with Africa and trying to get back there as often as possible. If you haven't been outside the US, I don't think we can get along.

I'm spontaneous and love jumping into new things, and that's how I've had time do many interesting things: lived in different countries, become a published author, a director in a global company, hosted a television show, been a researcher, co-founded companies, climbed mountains, crawled weird bars. Now, in New York, getting into documentary film making.

As a hobby, I photograph, do climbing/bouldering, and sometimes basketball. I'm also into underwater photography/filming, which is something I would like to think that that I'm semi-pro at, but really it's a hobby, and a very expensive one as well -- because of course --you need to travel to remote places with white beaches and palm trees to do it. The hunt for the best reefs has taken me to too many countries to keep track of and put me on a boat with some great nature film makers e.g. National Geographic photographers. Basically, for the last ten years, I've spent most of my money and vacations traveling in odd countries trying to find the perfect paradise with clear waters and beautiful coral gardens.

David Bowie once said: "music should be like water, flow from the tap." Right now, these would flow from my tap: Niki & the Dove, Villa Nah, Haim, Wild Beasts, Handsome Furs, Fever Ray, Kurt Vile, Little Dragon.

When it comes to movies, I'm not too picky, but like well written stories, black humor, European films, indie type stuff, and some big budget films as well. Not too keen on romantic comedies (except Notting Hill?) or comics made into movies.

I wish I was more avid reader, but "I don't have the time" to do so quite often enough. I have a bad conscience about it too, being an author and all. I also don't spend nearly enough time finding something worth reading, so I buy books from airports mostly by checking the back page and judging the cover art, and don't finnish half of them because they are so bad. Having said that, I read some, lately non-fiction, especially biographies.
