My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
The most important thing I can tell you right now is that I read and I write. I live for words. My personal blog has some of my writings intermixed with daily ramblings: www.typewritermoon.wordpress.com

I fell in love with Shakespeare when I was nine.

I'm a nerd/dork/geek. Comics, cosplay, sci-fi movies, fantasy books, video games, science, pop culture in general, etc. Nintendo fangirl. I'm a newly converted comics geek.

I FUCKING LOVE HARRY POTTER. I have a Harry Potter tattoo.

I embrace my nerdery, as you can see, but it doesn't consume me. I'm socially proficient, keep up with current events both locally and globally, and have very strong and well researched sociopolitical opinions.

General Important Facts:

I am short and fat. My curly hair is naturally blonde, currently red, sometimes straight, and sometimes purple. My glasses are necessary, not vanity.

I have food allergies and am asthmatic.

I have enough books to fill a library. And then some.

I love to travel. I spent three weeks in Europe with a duffel bag and a friend when I was 19. It was glorious. I've seen almost every US state. Been to Mexico. Did a two week stint in Australia during the summer of 2013. It was beautiful and I miss it dearly. Looking to South America or India next.

I love Twitter for no other reasons than humor, boredom, and getting the chance to exchange hellos with a celebrity. Find me @TheSamMoon.

I have a super small scale clothing line that I run out of my bedroom. Mainly I make commissioned items for friends and family, but I've had a few outside orders.

In case you're curious, my username was coined while I was a young undergrad and a member of a sorority. That sorority kicked me out my senior year and OkC doesn't allow free profile name changes.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm undergrad in English/creative writing.

Edit 1: I'm now a fifth year undergrad. My foreign language credits got fuddled and now I'm a year behind.

Edit 2: I'm three classes away from graduating. Unfortunately, a pretty severe car wreck in October 2012 put my life on hold. Medical bills, student loan payments, and the lack of a car have made it impossible for me to finish school right now. Instead, I'm working full time and pursuing my creative dreams.

I'm living life to the fullest while still keeping the future in mind.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I'm really excellent at a lot of things, but in case you wanted to know some specifics here is an obviously extremely well thought out list:

writing, witty banter, imagining things, taking care of children, loving someone, laughing, baking/cooking, wasting time, getting things done, singing along to songs I've never heard before, creating things, video games, writing papers, charming strangers, making new friends, making awkward situations fun and interesting, predicting the results of Olympic events, picking up my phone two seconds before it rings, home decorating, artsy crafty things, talking, holding onto a conversation, making jokes that no one else thinks are funny, interpretive dancing in the car, customer service.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My laugh is probably the first thing people can identify as "me." I have a very unique laugh. It's loud. But charming. Always charming.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

I think it's a little pointless to list favorite books, so I decided to list my favorite authors.

Authors: Dean Koontz, John Grisham, JK Rowling, JRR Tolkein, Angie Sage, Harlan Coben, Dan Brown, Stephanie Meyer, Christopher Paolini, James Patterson, Michael Crichton, James Baldacci, Victor Hugo, Jane Austen, Madame de Lafayette, Marie de France, Miguel de Cervantes, the Bronte sisters, Emily Dickinson, TS Eliot, ee cummings, William Wordsworth, Henry Longfellow, Charles Dickens, Anne Lamott, Tennessee Williams, Alice Sebold, Virginia Woolf, Edgar Allen Poe, Moliere, Irene Murphy Lewis, Julie Edwards (Andrews), Ben Mikaelson, Sarah Dessen, Kurt Vonnegut, Sartre, Arthur Miller, Tennessee Williams, Shakespeare, and others.

Movies: Rocky Horror Picture Show to Singin' in the Rain, to RabbitWithoutEars (English title of a German film), to classic Disney. I can watch just about anything. I really enjoy musicals. Probably to an excessive extent. I am always surpressing the urge to burst into choreographed song and dance. Favorite movie of right now is Midnight in Paris.

TV Shows: The Big Bang Theory. Criminal Minds. American Horror Story. Friends. Glee. Supernatural. How I Met Your Mother. Cougar Town. Face Off. One Tree Hill. Shameless. Bones. Will & Grace. Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends.

Music: I have a collection ranging from big band love songs and Frankie Valli to German scream-o and French grunge. My playlists focus on indie and alternative with a dash of classic rock and acoustic, but I'm known to bust out the old school hip-hop and Disney. I have musical constants: Sinatra, Lady Gaga, Queen, Journey, KISS, Hawthorne Heights, Pencey Prep, and My Chemical Romance.

Artist of the Week: Some Kinda Wonderful

Food: Italian. Chinese also tops the list along with mild Indian foods and a variety of fried things. If you can cook Indian food, please teach me. I haven't had a decent Indian meal since I was in London.

I've recently become addicted to sushi. My local place has a Vegas roll for which I would kill.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. Family
2. Friends
3. Books (NOT e-books)
4. Internet (therefore computer, haha, two in one!)
5. A good bra
6. Sewing machine
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Life and death. Literature. Yesterday and tomorrow, but rarely today. My family. My mistakes. My aspirations. Movies and music. Boys. How strange I am. Art.

Not in that order.

If I'll ever find someone who likes me for who I am on any given day, not for who they think I have the potential to be. Or who they want me to be.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
On a perfect Friday night, I go out with friends and cause general havoc at local dive shows.

But in reality, I stay in and drink a few glasses of wine while watching movies and/or TV.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I have wicked body issues. Which is understandable, seeing as I'm morbidly obese. I won't sugar coat it- I'm fat. Proportional, but fat.
