Hello World
Hey, not sure what to write on these things so here goes it.

I'm 26 (not far off 27 now either, god these things go by quickly), and would like to think I'm pretty normal, if a bit geeky. I love music, especially ska and punk/rock, and whilst I haven't gone in a few years I used to go to Reading Festival (not Leeds, booo) every year, and loved that. Was even in the programme one of the years although as far as claims to fame go, that's pretty low I guess.

I like movies, TV, gaming and reading (whether it's books or graphic novels, I read lots) and also writing, in fact, got a small thing published and that came out earlier in the year, although it's only a comic before you get too excited. Was fun, definitely looking into doing something like that again.

Been out of it a little while, but used to be an avid rock climber and definitely want to get back into that.

Anything else you want to know, just ask.

Graduated a few years back now, got my degree and (after a period of terrible bar-work) am now a software tester, yes, it is exactly as thrilling as it sounds.

Guess most of my life at the moment has the dim ring of "Self Improvement" around it. Trying to do more about where I live, trying to look for a better job (not that my current one is terrible, but don't really see it going anywhere), and trying to get in better shape by eating right and exercising.
So all that combined, what I'm doing with my life is largely a mixture of vegetables, paint, being sweaty and re-writing my CV multiple times.

I guess I should update this now. Still lots to do in the house, but I've gotten a new job in Manchester and lost about 10kg, so some things are going well, and probably need to get a new picture up at some point now.

Really good at useless things, mostly. If there is an IQ test, I can thwart that. Alternately, if you have a puzzle from the pull out of a Sunday paper, or just are desperately craving pointless knowledge about comic books.
I really need to work at being good in an area that is useful.

Books: Gentlemen Bastard series (by Scott Lynch), Song of Ice and Fire series (by George R. R. Martin), Kingkiller Chronicles (by Patrick Rothfuss and The Dresden Files (by Jim Butcher).
Also, V for Vendetta by Alan Moore and Y: The Last Man by Brian K. Vaughan because comics count too.

Movies: Back to the Future (whole series), Aliens, Butch Cassidey and the Sundance Kid and Serenity too.

Shows: Battlestar Galactica, West Wing, Breaking Bad, Mad Men, and far too many other things.

Music: Punk and ska and rock and stuff - Rancid, Greenday, NoFX, Reel Big Fish, Bowling for Soup and Dropkick Murphys

But, the best holiday I have ever been on, was to California, so that I could go to Comic Con.
