The last great novel I read was Canoe Lake by Roy MacGregor - Great novel about the mysterious disappearance of Tom Thompson. Some other books that come to mind are a Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood, Even Cowgirl's Get the Blues by Tom Robbins, the Sister's Brothers by Patrick DeWitt, Realm of Hungry Ghosts by Gabor Mate. Pathologies of Power by Paul Farmer.
