I drip, even ooze, dry
sarcasm and find it hard to not make
jokes about almost everything throughout the day. That is why I may
seem rude and crude. No point hiding it, you'll find out
eventually.
Jokes
are jokes I say, no reason anyone should get offended. If I'm not
laughing, and the people around me aren't laughing, I'm not doing
my "job". Ideally I'd love to find someone who can snap back at me
as fast as I can snap things out myself.
I'm a
geek,
nerd,
dork, whatever you may want to call it. I'm
a
gamer, or so I use
to think. I've met what I would define as gamers and realize I'm
nothing like them. But I do indeed picking up a keyboard, paper,
controller, or whatever and getting a little game on. In my free
time I make and put out a
podcast with a friend and am getting
ready to start up a webcomic alongside the same project as
well.
A lot of people are sports nuts, and I'm not, unless you're talking
hockey, which I
only really enjoy live in the rink. A lot of people watch football
or baseball, but those sports are just too slow for me, far far too
slow actually. About the only major sport commonly accepted here in
the USA I could possibly enjoy would be basketball.
I read,
books,
without pictures. It's something I do every day. It doesn't matter
if it is only for 5 minutes or an hour, I make time to escape in a
good book.
If that doesn't scare the ever living crap out of you,
congratulations, you're my kind of people and are more than welcome
to send something my way.
Oh, before I forget, while I do work in a warehouse I actually work
there by choice. I had a desk job for awhile but just couldn't
stand the office environment yet and hated still being so energetic
when I got home, so I left. I'm still young and like to feel like
I've actually worked and done something at the end of the day
still. I keep my portfolio up just in case I ever feel like going
back to the office world.
Besides working on all of my side projects? Saving up vacation and
personal time to take one gigantic vacation next year.
Finding the odd humorous things in life. If I can't find a laugh in
something, then either I'm not trying hard enough or well... the
apocalypse itself is upon us all, which would be very not funny.
That I just tripped over something or walked straight into an
object that has been at its current spot for a very long time. I'm
sort of accident prone at times.
Book wise,
Jim
Butcher has ruined a lot of books for me. I expect so much more
out of what I read that I find myself researching them more and
more. I have picked up a heavy love of the urban/modern fantasy
genre and generally stick to the
sci-fi/
fantasy section with books. Unless the
book is just that awesome, such as the books by George Carlin, and
I still need to read the one by Stephen Colbert.
Comedy, sci-fi,
action,
adventure, you name it I
watch it. Okay, not the "chick flicks" obviously. The closest I
came to watching a "chick flick" recently was Wall-E, and you can
say it wasn't that style of movie, but it had mush all over it.
It's okay though, it also had
robots. I'm down with that.
Musically I'll listen to just about anything except most country
and rap. It takes a special breed of hip-hop for me to not flip the
station immediately, such as pirate hip-hop. Yes, they do actually
make
pirate
hip-hop.
I work friday nights. Sigh.
I'm pretty sure I've admitted to enough things I shouldn't have by
stating that I game and podcast. You'll get nothing more heathens!
You can handle a nerd with a sense of humor that isn't borderline
dark or dry, but helps define dark and dry humor.
