My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
If you're waiting for a sign, this is it

California born and raised in Orange County & Los Angeles - just moved to Nashville this July! Just trying to blend in with the Southerners.

I seek adventure, but enjoy staying in. I'm a nerd, but I love sports. I'm sarcastic, yet a gentleman. Intellectual, yet a goof. I guess you can say I like balance. I need someone who can keep up.

I love to explore new places - hikes, restaurants, bars, etc. I also like cooking at home and movie nights (HBO & Showtime have become favs). Always itching to travel. Have gotten a couple opportunities to travel for work, which have been fantastic.

I love to exercise - gym, hiking, basketball, tennis (if you can play, let's have a match).

I'm a big sports enthusiast - college football (USC - Fight On!), NBA (Laker nation) and NFL.

I'm also big on music and enjoy strumming my guitar from time to time. I hear that's common around here.

And, of course, conversation, hard to pass up a good one of those. Add a drink and let's get this going. Cheers
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I got my bachelor's in Business from USC (the real USC). And yes, I'm a die hard alum [if you've ever met one of us, this is no surprise]

I work in operations for a tech consulting company. Absolutely love it & couldn't be happier. Amazing company with amazing people and I work remotely = good set up
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
arguing and never giving in (some might call that being stubborn, but that depends on how you keep score)

But really, I'm a contrarian and love to play devil's advocate. Nothing too serious, just for the fun of it. Call it competitive banter

As Aristotle so eloquently put it, “It is the mark of an educated mind to be able to entertain a thought without accepting it.”
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I put "the" in front of my freeways (ie. I took the 40 to the 440 - apparently people don't do this in places outside of Soutern California?), I'm a total beer snob, and I keep a pretty even keel demeanor
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Movies: I love so many of them... just a few would be Usual Suspects, The Godfather, Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, Me Myself and Irene, Cable Guy, Collateral, Gladiator, A Few Good Men, etc. etc.

Shows: The Wire, The Newsroom, Boardwalk Empire, Game of Thrones, Homeland, Shameless, House of Lies, Entourage, Fresh Prince of Bel Air, Law & Order SVU, King of Queens, Friends, Everybody Loves Raymond, Boy Meets World, and Girls Meets World... maybe?

Music: country, classic rock, oldies, metal, blues, classical, modern rock, alternative, and so on

Food: Italian, Steak houses (Ruth's Chris, Flemings, 555, BOA, Fogo De Chao, Mastro's) ... and now I'm salivating, next section
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
family
meat (I practically live off meat, dairy & carbs)
gym
sports
phone
my acoustic guitar
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
If the devil punishes evil doers, wouldn't that make him a good guy?

If a kid is late to his special education class, would it be appropriate to say he's tardy?

Is it possible to have awkward silence in sign language?

If the pope dies, is he getting fired or promoted?

Why don't prisons just give out liquid soap?

Why is it illegal to pay someone for sex unless you sell recordings of it?

Yes, your mind will now ponder these too
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Out with friends, watching a sporting event, chilling at home, seeing a movie, drinking a beer, sleeping
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I have a thing for novelty food/beverage appliances. Thus far I have a popcorn machine, pizza maker, and a kegerator. I pretty much took the best part of a county fair and brought it to my living room.

Can I call sidebar for a moment?
It seems almost every girl writes in this section: "If you know the difference between there, they're and their" or some variation of grammatical competency. Is that the standard now? Really? That's what it's come to, something out of a 4th grade lesson plan? If that's where you place the bar, I'm going to be beyond genius to you. Don't make me start diagramming simple, compound and complex sentences with multiple prepositional phrases and all sorts of adverbs modifying adverbs.

Okay, rant over. Carry on.

You think you can hold your own & are up for the challenge

You want to:
Go for a hike
Go wander the city
Have some banter
Play some music
Discuss good restaurants
quote movies

Bring on that Southern hospitality!
