I can be pretty quiet and shy, at first, until I get to know people. I know that exact phrase is said a lot here, but I have a habit of putting my foot in my mouth and usually feel horrible when I offend someone.

I'm a quirky, eccentric geek with an off-color sense of humor and have been compared to a slightly more personable Sheldon Cooper (character from The Big Bang Theory) by several people. I've, honestly, seen nothing but clips, but I'm hoping they meant that as a compliment.

While my main interests are fairly nerdy, like video games, science, and computers, I like to learn and can hold a conversation on just about any topic.

I'm currently working as an investigative risk analyst, which generally boils down to me being the jerk that keeps businesses from doing fun stuff, like scamming customers, committing fraud, and other shady things.

It can be stressful, at times, but I'm frighteningly good at it.

Music - Aesop Rock, Animals as Leaders, Jedi Mind Tricks, Massive Attack, MSI, Muse, Puscifer, RJD2, Skrillex, Stephen Walking, and The Prodigy are what I'm listening to most, right now. My tastes seem to change frequently, though.

TV - Game of Thrones, Law and Order SVU, Mythbusters, American Horror Story, The Walking Dead, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Wire in the Blood, The Whitest Kids U'Know, Firefly, any crime/legal drama, Star Trek: NG, DS9, and Voyager.

Trying to fathom the scope of things in the universe. I'm not into astronomy, telescopes, or government alien cover-up conspiracies, but when my mind starts to wander, it goes to things like:

The storm on Jupiter is over twice the size of Earth.
The Sun is over 1,000 times the size of Jupiter.
In theory, black holes can grow to be 18 billion times more massive than the Sun.
It takes light an estimated 4 billion years to cross the largest structure known in the universe.
The Earth is estimated to be 4.5 billion years old.
No, I did not know these numbers off the top of my head.

Also, what's for dinner... that, a lot, too.
