I am confused, shocked, and outraged.

My Self-Summary

I just asked a friend what to write here and she said funny, smart, silly, caring, insightful, honest. But she does lie a lot, so take it with a grain of salt. I like to laugh, connect with people, share experiences. I tend to feel a bit disconnected from the majority though not by choice. I lean left (which is just like a good simpsons joke, it appeals to both ends of the spectrum). I'm interested in all sorts of things, good music, reading, art, concerts, science, philosophy, animals, spending time with friends, walking, self improvement, etc.

What I’m doing with my life

Learning how to live alone, and opening my eyes to more subtle forms of enjoyment.

I’m really good at

Forcing my eyes to work independently. I'm also good at hiding without a hiding spot.

The first things people usually notice about me

That I appear to be horribly uncomfortable. I'm not always that way. Only when people are noticing things about me.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Music I like: bob dylan, radiohead, leonard cohen, mercury rev, david bowie, nick cave, beatles, jimi hendrix, neutral milk hotel, bright eyes, nina simone, sam cooke, the doors, white stripes, m. ward, lots more

movies I like: before sunrise, before sunset, eternal sunshine of the spotless mind, the truman show, labyrinth, waking life, ghostbusters, lock stock and two smoking barrels, this is spinal tap, synecdoche new york, anchorman, lots more

tv shows i like: flight of the conchords, six feet under, the office, dr katz, south park, the simpsons, family guy, chaser, fry and laurie, arrested development, extras, monty python, dexter, pushing daisies, lots more

The six things I could never do without

food
water
shelter
air
the universal constants
my stubborn literal mindedness (actually i'm less like that these days, but i like playing up to certain characters)

I spend a lot of time thinking about

Death. Cows. Life. How i'm perceived. Whatever I'm distracting myself with. Whatever I'm distracting myself from. Boobs.

On a typical Friday night I am

On a date that isn't going particularly well.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

There are single celled organisms in my family tree.
Actually I just say this to piss off creationists.

OK fine, true story, nobody else knows this. When I was very young, maybe 7 or 8, I was at a school fete. There was a sale, with lots of odds and ends, and I was standing next to a girl from my class. At the same time we both grabbed Michael Jackson's Thriller on cassette. Anyway, I really wanted it so I told her if she let me buy it, we could share it. But I never did share it with her.

You should message me if

you think we can add something to each others lives. Or if you have boobs.
