If you do photography, I would be super down to go on a photo adventure, especially to somewhere that I haven't been before. I write everything from short stories to poetry, but a lot of it winds up being academic.
I have a silly side if you're into that.
I really like beer, even just for the flavor. Portland has a pretty solid selection of microbreweries and I like to take advantage of that when I can. Despite this, though, whiskey is my spirit animal.
Sometimes I spend hours laughing at shitty art on the internet with friends. Other times, we get really high and pretend to understand and connect with the writing of Friedrich Nietzsche, but deep down, we know that his conception of herd morality was pretty abhorrent.
I abhor memes and the entire internet subculture associated with them.
I like thinking and writing about philosophy, social constructs, human history, psychology, sociology, existentialism, the human condition and our place in the universe. I also like laughing at cisbros and their shitty attitudes toward women, gays and dressing themselves. Learning and experiencing all kinds of stuff in general, really. There have been a few times where I stayed up until like 5:00 AM sipping on wine and talking about philosophy and I think I've enjoyed it every time.
I am an unabashed SRS poster.
I was raised by a seahorse.
I'm an agnostic atheist, but really disagree with the bulk of the "new atheism" movement, because it's really a bunch of pseudointellectuals looking for reasons to hate on Islam while pretending to maintain some sort of understanding of science.
I'm kind of a nerd, too. Right now, I'm all about Borderlands 2. Also Skyrim and some FTL on the side. I'm down to game a little, if you're into that, but there's a lot more to me than just gaming.
As an aside, I'm pretty vehemently opposed to U.S. drug policy and if you support it, there's a fair chance that we won't get along.
