Freaking Memory

Memories are just where you laid them
Dragging the waters til the depths give up their dead
What did you expect to find?
Was it something you left behind?
Don't you remember anything I said when I said,

Oh hold me now I feel contagious
Am I the only place that you've left to go?
She cries her life is like
Some movie in black and white
Dead actors faking lines, over and over and over again she cries

And I watched as you turned away
You don't remember, but I do
You never even tried

So......what if Smurfs are just constantly swearing, how would we ever know?   Just a random smurfing thought.........

mmm soup

There is just something so satisfying about a bowl of Mrs. Grass chicken noodle soup on a chilly rainy day like today. Mmmmm Soup.

I like mail.

I ordered a couple of t-shirts online last week and they arrived in the mail at work today.  It makes the dreariness of cubicle life a little more bearable, it's like finding  $20 in the pocket of a pair of jeans you haven't worn in a while!

I Alone.

oh, now, we took it back too far,
only love can save us now,
all these riddles that you burn
all come runnin' back to you,
all these rhythms that you hide
only love can save us now,
all these riddles that you burn yeah, yeah, yeah

I alone love you
I alone tempt you
I alone love you
fear is not the end of this!

2AM Scare

Well at 2am this morning I was rudely awakened by a loud creek and a crash, a noise that is not typical of my cat's claws as he climbs the screen windows.  Knowing something was wrong I ran out to the living room to see what had happened.  I looked and saw: no screen window and no Gavin.  The problem? I live on the top floor of my building and the ground outside is 25 feet down from the window.

I began scanning the ground, saw the screen and nearby a small black catshaped object that was not moving.  I called out Gavin's name and heard a weak pathetic cry.  I threw on some shorts and ran outside. As I turned the corner he began wailing like an old Tomcat in the alley.  After 5 minutes of chasing him around, I got him into my apartment and he lay on the floor in shock for about 15 minutes.

Thankfully he seems to be alright.  He limps a little gingerly, but does not appear to be hurt any more seriously than bruising himself a bit.  We'll see how he does in a few days, but I don't think he will be climbing the windows again anytime soon.

Ok, so just writing this is getting me up to 90% complete.

Boring day at work and I've had Jason Mraz's cover of Bob Dylan's "Man Gave Names to All the Animals" running through my cerebrum all day.
