My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
First of all: I'm a bit sceptical about this site, because, in a way, this makes me feel like an anti-social douchebag. And I also -naively- believe I will meet the perfect love one day on the street or in a bar... and definitely not on the internet. I know, that sounds cheesy. But by any means, I do believe it's a good way to get in touch with people.

So, Here we go:

I'm a poetic and romantic person in all the meanings of the words. I really enjoy the little things in life. I'm a person from the heart rather than from the head. Sometimes I look at the world trough the eyes of a child. I'm a hedonist, an admirer and a dreamer. Although, I try to be consistent in what I do and How I think. I think of myself as a stable person.

I have a hedonistic, burgundian lifestyle. I'm the happiest person in the world when I'm out dining and/or drinking with friends and all the ones I love. Humour is very important for me. Although some people could consider my humour to be a bit dark and dry. Black toast.

I think functionality is overrated.
I think aesthetics is underrated.

I prefer simplicity to complexity. That doesn't mean I prefer a shallow, common, everyday or lowbrow life. It's my personal experience that the things I find heart-whole, moving or beautiful in fact are very simple.

In short: A moderate pessimist who enjoys life and everything it implies.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I graduated as a social worker and i started a master in sexology (which i did not finish). I really loved my education and have the feeling it was what i had to do at the time, but after a while i seriously doubted if that is what i wanted to do with my life. Currently i am working as a bartender in Ghent. And loving it! I like the technical side of preparing drinks in a proper fashion as well as the social side of being a host and making sure people have a good time! I don't regret the choices I made and I have learned to see that life is not always a lineair path you have to follow. The sky is wide open.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I'm not a very competitive person, so I don't feel the need to excel. My only goal is to do what I like. But here are some things other people/friends told me I'm good at:

*Seeing beauty in the little things in life. Wether we're talking about persons, their relationships, nature or lifeless things...
*Empathy, Listening
*Having an open mind
*Respect people for who they are. Although I might not like them all the time.
*Getting drunk (Both the process and being drunk in itself)
*Staying up late. (And loving it too!)

*...and some other useless talents. :)

My favorites are: Jotie T'Hooft, Herman de Coninck, Bart Meuleman, Marcel van Maele, Leonard Nolens, Hugo Claus,... And so on...

I also really enjoy the novels of Willem Elschot.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
* Freedom
* Money (Like the bartender in my favorite bar used to say: It's not a shame if you don't have any money. But it sure isn't easy.)
* Friends
* Music
* Some time alone now and then
* Love
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
*People and how they think and act.
*Myself and how I think and act.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Having some beers with friends.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm a knight and member of The Secret Order of the Knights of St. Anthony. (rest assured, it's not a sect. In fact, maybe you would be disappointed if you knew what it's about. But I'm not allowed to give you more details about this secret, esoteric order.)

I can tell you this: Our main activities consist of drinking beer and eating porc.
