My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
There is a cheese-ball song all over the radio this year, the "Happy" song. Pharrell wrote it about me.

I'm happy. Not only am I generally a positive person, I put in effort towards happiness. I am looking for others who are doing the same. Much of my interest in happiness stems from study of Buddhist psychology. Fulfillment, generosity, kindness, compassion contribute to happiness.

The foundation for happiness in my life (not in any order): a fulfilling and meaningful career, emotional growth, riding my motorcycle, meditation, healthy and whole food, exercise, social justice, amazing friends, close relationships with my folks, fun, adventure and creativity. I have a joies de vivre. I sometimes say, "I eat life," which for me is about making the best of it and making time for fun, development and recreation.

I love to laugh. Do you laugh a lot? I hope so!

I feel a need to address the bi-sexual label right away. I think labels are for jars, not my sexuality. If I need to pick one, I identify as queer.

For background, I was happily married to a man for many years and I have also experienced all types of wonderful relationships with women. For me, attraction is less about someone's gender and more about their energy and who they are as people. Are you a positive, creative, smart person? If yes, I likely think you are sexy.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I came to DC from NYC to change the world, like so many of us here. I live at the intersection of arts, activism and advocacy. Since 2005, I have been an entrepreneur, operating a public relations company that focuses on arts and culture.

I'm also dancing, meditating, cycling, riding my motorcycle, organizing social justice actions, eating from a CSA farm box, caring for my friends and laughing, a lot.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Maps. I've never been lost in my life. I have a small map tattoo. In my former professional life, I was an urban planner.

My friends tell me I am their life coach. That is a rewarding side job. I am a positive and mentally strong person, and I am happy to share the map of how I got here.

I am also good at crafting. Cooking. Hosting events and parties. Building a fun and joyous life. Smiling. Laughing. Did I mention laughing? :)
The first things people usually notice about me

Hopefully it's my smile and laugh, but likely it's my big breasts, long legs and big hair. My fun attitude. My manner of dressing, as in silly anarchy.

What I am reading now: A Clash of Kings, Proficient Motorcycling, Fat is a Feminist Issue. I think this says a lot about me. A Clash of Kings is pure fun, Proficient Motorcycling is for knowledge and learning a new skill, and Fat is a Feminist Issue is about emotional growth and activism. So, I haven't updated this in a bit, but this list is illustrative of what I am usually reading and thinking about.

My life revolves around good food, cycling and biking, and all types of art. So, if you want to eat well, travel on two wheels, and experience or create art, I am your woman.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
public transportation
my tribe
the ocean
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
How to make the world healthier, happier, more just. I love my three goddaughters and I think about how to make a better future for them.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
at an art gallery opening.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit

My motorcycle really is my primary relationship.

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You have (most of) your shit together. You laugh a lot. You are poly and / or into open relationships. Bonus points if you are a Buddhist. Super bonus points if you ride motorcycles and you think women who ride are super hot, which we are, of course. :)

But, more seriously, I am looking for those who are dedicated to always growing, creativity, finding the happiness in life and emotional maturity.
