My self-summary
I am 28, but I get carded to drive go-carts (I know, laugh it up). I don't drink, or smoke, or do drugs (I'm straightedge, that's right, I kick ass). I don't even like to take medication, or high doses of caffeine. I'm kinda naturally loopy so adding to that would just be preposterous. Just ask my co-workers when I accidentally have caffeinated coffee (I LOVE me some coffee).

Although I'm very outgoing and personable, I am very much a home-body. When I'm done with work (notice I say done WITH work, not done work...I'm not native to PA), and cooking, and cleaning, and taking care of my munchkin man, I love to veg out on the couch or computer doing mindless tasks. I don't "go out" with friends, since I don't drink and feel rather out of place in bars or social scenes where people get loaded.

I am intelligent, quirky, and reliable

What I’m doing with my life
I work full-time in the biomedical research field (ps.....PETA or Animal activists need not apply). My job sounds very serious, but my department is pretty nuts, I love it! I laugh all day, not to mention learn new and interesting scientific things. I have a Bachelor's degree in Biology, however I would LOVE to return to school to get a Master's degree, preferably in Physician Assistant Sciences, and perhaps go onto becoming an MD or DO.

Recently I've been toying with the idea of Path A or getting a PhD in some biomedical research field.

I’m really good at
Being a kick ass (single) mom. (I do enlist the help of friends and family from time to time, but I'm A-OK with going it alone in the parenting department aka I'm not exactly looking for someone to help me raise my child)

I'm also good at basketball, or used to be, I've played a few times recently, and my form is still intact, I just need to work on my accuracy. I'm excited to teach my boy when he's more coordinated, he likes going to the courts with me now :) He'll have perfect form and be doing break-away jump shots in no-time

I'm a good listener, good talker (but it takes a lot for me to REALLY open up), I am an excellent typist, great at massage (thinking about taking massage therapy courses to get into medical massage), and am good at putting a smile on people's faces.

The first things people usually notice about me
People that know me can't get over that I just cut about 20 inches of my super long and curly red hair, which I grew out to donate to Locks of Love. For those that don't already know me, it's definitely how young I look. I'm not really 12, I promise.

Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Although I consider myself to be an intellectual, I do NOT enjoy sitting down with a book...frankly I find it boring. My mind needs a better form of stimulation. For example, prime-time television does the trick wonderfully! My favorite shows are: So You Think You Can Dance (I <3 Mia Michaels), House (Cuddy=foxy), The Office, Gray's Anatomy, Flash Forward, Hell's Kitchen, NCIS (Abby rocks my world), Travel Channel, Food Network, and I love nerdy channels like Nat Geo, Discovery, History, and Planet Green is my new favorite channel, oh and I love Through the Wormhole with Morgan Freeman on the science channel...uber dorky and fabulous! (in hindsight, I watch way too much tv lol)

I like a lot of music, but my favorite genres are emo, pop-punk, alternative, and rock. Currently loving Paramore, 30 seconds to mars, the Fully Down, Mumford & Sons, White Tie Affair, Company of Theives, always loving Sarah Bettens and K's choice, staind (so so SO SAD that Aaron Lewis is going COUNTRY..I cried a little), finger eleven, coheed & cambria, brand new, the starting line, sugarcult, yellowcard, brandtson, twothirtyeight, old school Hoobastank (before the reason)....so so many more
I can sometimes enjoy easy listening, jazz, techno, hip-hop, pop (mainstream).
Least favorite of all is COUNTRY....it makes my stomach churn, that's all I have to say about that.
I'm tolerable of, but would probably never listen to on my own volition, classical, classic rock, hardcore rap, screamo/screamcore.

My favorite movie is (drumroll)......the Other Sister...it's utterly hilarious and so incredibly sweet. I can practically recite the entire movie and sound exactly like Carla Tate...you love it, admit it!

I love all types of food, but I am a spice weenie. I love sushi, Asian and Italian food. My signature dishes are a sweet chuckwagon chili, cheesy tatertot cassarole, seafood alfredo, and golden stew (a cheesy ham and potato soup).

I spend a lot of time thinking about
Ways to save money, being more eco-friendly and less wasteful, and of course fun and inexpensive things to do with my kid, where I'll be in the next 5 years (I'd like to be in or done with grad school, a home owner :) )

On a typical Friday night I am
I like to sprawl out (why curl up when I could stretch out) on the couch with a cup of decaf and catch up on my recorded shows from the week with my girl, since we both work too much and hardly have time to relax.

I’m looking for
  • Gay girls only
  • Ages 24-34
  • Near me
  • Who are single
  • For new friends
You should message me if
...you're not looking for a hook up (I am happily taken by a beautiful woman and I don't plan on that changing :))

You should also message me if you like the company of a complex, androgynous, paradigm of a woman who is not afraid to dance like no one is looking, and admit when she's wrong (but I'm never wrong ;-D), if you can make me laugh so much that I almost pee myself, if you know of some kick ass emo/punk/alternative band that I simply should not live without.

You should NOT message me if you are incapable of correct grammar, or speaking without the use of "text talk." I am a text-a-holic, but I know how to properly form words and sentences and prefer that the people with whom I communicate frequently can do the same (and yes I see the hypocrisy of my making up a word such as "text-a-holic" to prove a point). You should also not message me if your life is devoted to Jesus (why are you here if that's the case?)

Thanks for looking!
