My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I own my own comic & game business. 2014 will be my 19th year in business. What can I say...I am pretty proud. Not just for surviving either. My store is a community. We're not just employees and customers. We help each other out when needed. We go out to movies and out to eat together. I've watched a lot of my customers grow up. Its kind of like a second family. That's what I'm proud of. I also have an amazing 9 year old daughter. She's my partner in crime and I try to do things with her like theater, museums, conventions, make costumes for Halloween or just decorate the Christmas Tree. These are two things that are important to me. I'm also a geek but that's not all there is. You honestly wouldnt notice until you get me talking about something I love. I also pride myself on raising a good daughter. I want someone that is interested in being part of that life. I dont place much importance on what's "proper" according to everyone else. I would rather a person do what makes them happy as long as they're not hurting anyone. If my daughter wants a ninja turtle toy instead of Barbie then that's okay.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
"The same thing we do every night, Pinky—try to take over the world!" I've worked hard for 18 years to build my business. At this point it basically runs itself with the help of some great employees. I want to be able to actually take time for myself, family & friends. It took me while but I realized if you don't have people in your life then what's the point.

My more immediate goals are a lot simpler. I was married for 10 years and now that I'm not I want to get my life back on track. I've been separated for about 2 years and am looking to start dating again. My goal is to find someone for a long term relationship but if all I end up with is some casual dates and a friend I'm okay with that too. I'm in no rush to jump into a relationship unless its with the right person. I do have my daughter 5 days a week and two jobs so I don't have a lot of free time which is why I'm trying online dating. I also want to start getting in better shape and as soon as my 2nd job lets me cut back my hours I plan to start hitting the gym more. Working 60 hours a week and being a single parent doesn't leave much time. :)
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I'm really good at being a dad. I'm really good at making people laugh too. I'm also good at making lasagna. Lasagna skills are more practical around mealtime luckily.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I don't really know. If you're talking purely physical then it's probably my eyes. I've had people compliment me on them all my life.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
I'm a Whedon nerd. I love Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, Firefly, Dollhouse and just about everything Joss Whedon has done. I also enjoy reading and some of my favorite authors currently are Patrick Rothfuss, SM Stirling, Kim Harrison and Elizabeth Moon among others. Specific book series i really like are the King Killer Chronicles, The Hollows, the Emberverse & The Deed of Paksennarion. I love a good story regardless of medium. As far as food goes I generally enjoy something with a little spice.

I don't watch very much TV but some of my favorites are Walking Dead, Breaking Bad, Justified, Sons of Anarchy, Defiance, Dexter, The Americans, and Game of Thrones. I'm also pretty fond of the History Channel & the Discovery Channel.

For movies I'm a sucker for any sci-fi/fantasy type of movie but if its good I will watch it regardless of genre. Some of my favorites include:
Groundhog Day
Big Trouble in Little China
The Goonies
Monty Python & the Holy Grail
The 5th Element
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. My daughter
2. My friends
3. Books

I'm just going to let those things count twice. There are things it would be hard to do without but as long as I have my friends and family and books I think I could manage.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
I wonder why there isn't a stage version of Dr Horrible. If there is tell me about it! I also wonder how much it would cost to make it and if Iaconcernke it happen.

I also have a going bet with my 9 year old daughter. She had a date idea and bet me 25 cents it would work so if you have some feedback about it I would love to hear it. There's 25 cents on the line! She said I should take my date to Mt Trashmore and sit on the bench she pointed out that faces the water and hill and watch the sunset. If it doesnt work she owes me 25 cents. If you want to try it out let me know.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
I don't have a typical Friday night. Sometimes I'm at work. Sometimes I'm at home watching Arrested Development with my daughter.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I dabble in extreme couponing. I don't think I can go back to paying normal price. It's almost like a puzzle or a challenge to see how low I can make my grocery bill. :)
