I'm a PPCer--a member of the Protectors of the Plot Continuum, an online fanfic policing force. I like reading, roleplaying, and medieval weaponry. I think that Terry Pratchett and Monty Python are hilarious. See below for more thorough explanations.

Things that irritate me: Prejudice, people who are rude or cruel for "fun", profanity/vulgarity, the color pink and other overly fluffy "feminine" accoutrements, too-macho posturing, people abusing other people (physically, psychologically, or verbally), animals, their environment, and/or books, alcohol, drug, or tobacco use. Whee.

I just finished up a BA in Humanities and Cultural Studies and a MLIS (Master's in Library and Information Studies). I work at a small public library and will give your children books and other media that make them think. Fear me.

I spend lot of my free time hanging out on a Star Trek RPG board. It rocks.

You want to: complain about the horrors perpetrated by the film industry when they get hold of good book, have a critique session about superhero comics (I love them, but they have issues), complain about my attitudes (I can always use a laugh--try and spell your rants correctly), report bad fanfiction (especially based on Shakespeare, Lord of the Rings, or Pirates of the Caribbean), inform me about new and interesting poisons and their effects.
