I'm a thoughtful person. I start out reserved, but when I get to know you, I laugh long and loud.

I'm a native Angeleno, at home in the Valley and in the city, along the Pacific Ocean and atop the Santa Monica Mountains.

I'm feminist and anti-racist. I've spent time learning the theory, but I know that it's usually best just to listen to those who choose to speak, and not impose upon those who don't.

I'm a gamer. I get together with friends to play a board games, card games, or role-playing games, and I play videogames on my exercise bike when I'm at home by myself.

I'm a thinker, and I take great joy in giving traditional art and modern pop culture the same careful analysis.

My friends want me to tell you that I'm a considerate friend, and that I'm amusing when I'm tipsy.

During the day, I work an office job. It's not the best, but it's not the worst. At night, I spend time with my friends around the Southland.

Solving puzzles; playing games; talking late into the night about just about anything; respecting boundaries; helping people figure out what they wanted to say in the first place; getting a read on people long after it would do anybody any good; and mocking bad television, and then analyzing its social messages and artistic aesthetics.

I'm tall. I don't notice it so much, but when people first meet me, they tell me that I'm bigger than they expected. I take it as a compliment.

I don't like picking favorites, because I always get worried about leaving things out. So I just add a few things to this list every time I play around with the profile.

I think about my future, and how that future has changed from what I thought it would be.

I drive around Los Angeles, and I look to the hills and mountains and imagine how glorious it would be to hike up there and look out to the Pacific.

Going out to meet with friends around Los Angeles. Or having friends over to try cocktail recipes. Or walking to the Egyptian or IO West or UCB Theatre to catch a show. Or falling asleep early because I did all of that stuff early in the week too.

I am polyamorous; I don't really believe monogamy for myself anymore. I love meeting and becoming intimate with new people without having to worry about following the prescribed relationship arc of U.S. society. I love dating people who wouldn't or couldn't marry me--making connections on our own terms, answerable only to ourselves.

I do still believe in commitment; I'm currently dating someone who's going to be my "primary" relationship in the future. In the mean time, I'm looking for different people to be intimate with, so that I can keep learning and growing.

So if my personality answers seem a bit chaotic or contradictory, that's why. I'm looking for more than one thing, and not for one person who needs to be all of them.
