My self-summary
So my name is Joe (Jose en espanol). And if you figured it out from my screen name, my last name is Rodriguez. An astronomically common Hispanic name. I sometimes tell people if there ever was a Hispanic version of 'John Doe' or 'John Smith', my name would be it.

When you meet me I can be a shy guy (at first). Apparently I suffer from shy/asshole confusion. Basically, my shyness is mistaken for being an asshole. I'm not an asshole! Well..most of the time.

I believe in progressing or expanding oneself throughout life. Small things or big. Whether it's learning new things, experiencing new things, eating new things, etc. Whatever. Progress! I like to set goals for myself.

What I’m doing with my life
When I'm not busy with work, you can usually catch me hitting the gym, sweating it up in combat fitness, enjoying myself at a restaurant/bar, jamming at shows, traveling or just spending time with family. Especially my nephew. I love playing video games with him!
I’m really good at
-Relating my life events to Seinfeld episodes
-Mismanaging my time
-Offering sound advice
-Offering sound relationship advice despite being single #ForeverAlone
-Using hash tags on websites other than Twitter, Instagram (now Facebook? Seems like I'm gonna delete this line soon)
The first things people usually notice about me
How young looking I am. Was hella annoying at first. Some girl at a party once told me it was due to my olive oil skin? Beats me but I'll allow it. This just makes things that much more optimistic for my 30s, 40s, etc. So watch out!
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: Honestly, I can't read. Well, yes I can read but I mean I usually can't sit so long and read. I do enough of that for work. If you do happen to see me one day crack open a book it's most likely a political novelty or my double.

Music: My musical tastes fluctuate. As of right now I'm into hard rock and metal. That being said I like most genres. Not so much country but I will say 90s country would be an exception.

Some notables: Otherwise, Three Days Grace, In This Moment, Black Sabbath, Stone Sour, Kanye West, Lady Gaga, Amy Winehouse, Fiona Apple, M.I.A.

Shows: Breaking Bad; House of Cards; Dexter; Curb Your Enthusiasm; Parks and Recreation; The Office; Roseanne; 30 Rock; Seinfeld; Judge Judy; Survivor
The six things I could never do without
1. Politics (I'm a junkie. Obsessed? Probably.)
2. NFL (Go Patriots!)
3. Gym/Exercise
4. Compression Shorts (I have a problem with chafing!)
6. A strong margarita
Sirius/XM (That's 7 (or 8/9?) but it's damn good. Can't imagine going back to regular radio. I've found so many good bands and expanded my interests because of it.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Getting a dog and tattoos. Contemplating going back to school to get a Master's. Decisions, decisions. I've been plagued with never settling for less. It has its pros and cons.
On a typical Friday night I am
Usually hitting up happy hour for a margarita after a long work week. I also enjoy a nice Dos-a-rita.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I didn't know how to swim. When I was 19 I nearly drowned until I was saved by an angel -- well technically this girl named Angel (who I was dating at the time). But it was pretty angelic of her. The incident was funny and embarrassing. But I'm still here to share this story with you aren't I?

I eventually did something about this nonsense by taking swimming classes earlier in '13. Yeah, I'm awesome. Don't need Angels any more!
I’m looking for
  • Girls who like guys
  • Ages 21–32
  • Near me
  • For new friends
You should message me if
You're courageous.

Prefer to start off as friends. Could never have enough of those, right? If it becomes something more then so be it. Also, a strong romantic relationship needs a strong friendship first...or something.

Be down to earth.
Be open minded and acceptable of various lifestyles. I can't deal with ignorance or hate.
