My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I have just recently become engaged with a fine woman that I discovered here on OK Cupid. I hope that a success story like mine will give you hope to find your one true soul mate. God bless.

During the day I am a Mechanical Engineer, but in my spare time I am the Artistic Director for a high school marching band. If I wasn't already an Engineer, I believe I would be a teacher, as working with youth is my vocation and passion. The good thing is that I get to do both. I absolutely love kids and I wish I had some of my own, or some that I could grow to love, but I am game for whatever God provides for me.

Music has a special importance in my life. As much as I can I am listening to some form of music; in the car, at work with headphones, or going to symphony orchestra concerts, musicals, operas, elementary, middle, and high school concerts, or even a jazz/blues group in a park. I just really love music and performance in general.

I do enjoy watching sporting events (especially the Seattle Seahawks), and am more likely to enjoy college sports than professional due to the rivalries. My man cave doesn't sport any kegs, sports illustrated posters, or basketball hoops, but I do enjoy my high tech theater system, and other gadgets. I am passionate, affectionate, and I love to be transparent with a soul mate. I do not particularly want to date as many girls as possible, but to find someone to hold my hand on a park bench when I am 90 something. I am interested in someone who could appreciate my passions, but not necessarily have to partner with me in them. I love to communicate, and I need someone who can be transparent about their feelings, including all of the good and the bad.

I am devoted to creating a lasting relationship and will do what it takes to make things work. I want to meet a woman's needs, protect her, validate her, and let her be the woman she wants to be. I am looking for a woman who genuinely loves people. They are not an annoyance to her. I would love to have a woman who is affectionate which doesn't only mean sexual. Someone who feels comfortable holding hands, cuddling, kissing, hugging and sharing her love that resides inside.

There is nothing more uplifting than a person who finds goodness and beauty in everyday things. I believe that when it comes to common interests, if a couple is communicating well about what they love and that they feel safe speaking them, interests can become common. You love the person first, and then loving their world, dreams and desires becomes easy and natural.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
My life goal is to live each moment as if it were my last, reach as many people as possible, gain the love of a wife and children, and to worship God with everything that I have.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I have a gift for getting students to reach emotional highs and work hard without complaint. I am good at solving technical problems, hence engineering. I can stand and shoot an arrow through a tennis ball from 60 yards out (I still have to bow down to Katniss Everdeen since I cannot hit flying birds). Also, I’m a pretty good drummer.
The first things people usually notice about me

I have a lot of energy, am inviting, and have a great sense of humor.

Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Philosophical ideas about the human existence, and the mystery of the relationship between music and emotions (Enter Sandman by Metallica makes you want to bite the head off of a kitten, Beethoven makes you want to have passionate cuddling, Halleluiah makes you want to cry and praise, Mozart makes your kids smart, etc.). “Is it not strange that sheeps' guts should hale souls out of men's bodies?” Much Ado About Nothing, Shakespeare, Benedick
On a typical Friday night I am

I am usually catching up on things that I could not get done during the week. I watch movies with friends or families. On Saturday’s when I have larger chunks of time available, I usually play games with my family (parents, sisters, nieces and nephews).

You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
If you feel that I am interesting, and the person I am looking for is relatively you (no one fits every category for any person because they are and I am human), then contact me.

PS. If you are the type of woman who has cheated on your significant other or spouse in the past or find yourself always looking to see if the grass is greener on the other side of the fence, don't bother contacting me. I am looking for a "death do you part" relationship, and I will not go through the agony of being betrayed like that again.
