I'm a Florida girl who's pretty new to Charlottesville. Though I
miss home, I love taking advantage of Virginia's fun opportunities.
I like being active and outdoors, whether it's going to movies,
hiking, camping, skiing, canoeing, going to the beach, playing
tennis, raquetball or ultimate, or just grabbing a coffee or beer
with friends. I enjoy hosting dinner parties and cooking for other
people in general. I am equally happy going to hear an orchestra
play, going to a good sports game (hockey is my favorite though
football's a close second) and going clubbing (with the right
people). I like going to museums because history excites me. I also
love trying new things. Traveling is perhaps my favorite thing in
the world, as I enjoy meeting people from all walks of life and
hearing about their experiences and trying to understand their
ideologies. I lived abroad for a year.
What I’m doing with my life
Enjoying my great job and trying to figure out what's next.
I’m really good at
I'm a decent wakeboarder. I've been doing it since I was fourteen.
This is definitely my favorite sport. I speak Spanish well and I
also sing really well.
The first things people usually notice about me
I've been called bubbly before.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
A Tale of Two Cities, La mitad del alma, Parks and Rec, 30 Rock,
Big Bang Theory, etc. Don Quijote is the funniest book I've ever
read. I'm reading The Jungle right now. I love war movies, those
with a political or historical theme, and period pieces. I like a
lot of movies based off novels and/or about historical figures or
events, but mostly I like movies that make me think, that teach me
something, or that show me gorgeous scenery from far away places.
Also like documentaries and am a sucker for romantic tragedies like
The Painted Veil and P.S. I Love You. Two of my favorite movies are
Midnight in Paris and A Beautiful Mind. Don't get me wrong--I like
a good comedy too, but I prefer dramas and action flicks
Love classical music and am trying to get into it more; I took
piano lessons for 13 years. I almost always enjoy anything
folk-sounding and have a random penchant for fourties' music,
especially Tommy Dorsey. I know very little about music except for
what I listen to on the radio in the car every now and then. I like
learning about artists from other people who know more than I about
music (which is nearly everyone I've met thus far). I really enjoy
movie soundtracks and my life would be incomplete without John
Williams and Alexandre Desplat.
I eat almost everything except for mayonnaise and tuna. I love a
good salad as much as a delicious steak or burger. I could never be

I spend a lot of time thinking about
Literature and how it reflects political movements and history,
ideology and perhaps art. How to find cheap ways to spend as much
time as possible in Spanish-speaking countries.
On a typical Friday night I am
out with friends, reading or watching a movie.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I have a life-size cut-out of Han Solo from a long, long time ago.
And the first time I saw "Thriller" was in a college class called
American Popular Music.
