My self-summary
I'm a fun, laid back guy with a great sense of humor and an intense curiosity in the world around me. A fact sponge who loves sharing amazing tid bits that inspire awe and wonder in me and those listening. I have a strong background in science. Its the thing that makes me believe there's a greater force operating in the universe. Understanding how things work and why is something I'm always pondering. My mom tells me that from the time I could talk my favorite word was why. It still is. I have a of love nature, all parts of it, but especially birds. Intellectual conversation really energizes me, especially when I'm learning something, and I can hold my ground on just about any topic. I charismatic and outgoing and love saying and doing funny shit that makes people laugh. I have an easy time connecting with people and making them feel comfortable. College basketball is my favorite sport and I'm glued to the TV when March rolls around. Exercise is a must for me because it keeps me grounded and upbeat.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm working a lot right now, trying to get better at what I do. I'm pretty good at whatever I put my mind to (except spelling) but my broad range of interests make me a jack of all trades and a master of none. Thinking about my true calling and how to make it a reality without letting fear get in the way of pursuing it. I think about new things I'd like to try, the places I'd like to see, and what experiences I'd like to have that would be truly transcendent.
I’m really good at
Listening and talking. Sparking people's interest in things they might otherwise not care about. Approaching things from a logical perspective before jumping to conclusions. I'm naturally athletic and pick up on things that require coordination pretty easily. Day dreaming and using my imagination. Non linear thinking. I try to channel these qualities into works of short fiction. I use to draw pretty well but I've let it slip away. Procrastination, though I rarely miss a dead line. Looking at myself objectively, being honest with myself, and working to improve my short comings. Laughing at myself. Connecting easily with others on their level and making them laugh in the process. Seeing peoples strength and complimenting them on them. Appreciating all the small miracles that are happening in the world around us all the time. Communicating complex subjects without dumbing them down. Oh yeah, and women always tell me they like the way I smell, even when I'm funky. So I guess I'm good at smelling good :)
The first things people usually notice about me
I guess probably the fact that I'm usually smiling and have a confident air about me. That I'm warm, open and interested.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
All types of music, especially classic rock and Motown. Not a big fan of pop country.
National geographic, Discovery, Scientific America and other science magazines because articles suit my short attention span.
I love Ray Bradbury because he seamlessly melds science with poetry while allows making it really about the characters and the human condition.
Short stories, I have a tough time gettiing through novels.
The Fountain Head.
Negative utopias like 1984, Brave New World and The Road.
Historical fiction, especially James Mitchener.
Hemingway, especially the Sun Also Rises and the Old man and the Sea
Love movies! Sci-fi, action, and suspense thrillers are probably my favorite but I love anything with great acting and a good story. Anything with Ed Harris, probably my favorite actor.
TV - Breaking Bad, Mad Men, Dexter, Walking Dead.
The six things I could never do without
Spring - the green earth - Sunshine
Being in and on the water - especially on a boat
Science and Nature

That's more than six but F@#k the Rules!
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Sex (big surprise there right)
What if scenerios
The miracles of the universe and existence
The moment
On a typical Friday night I am
Out eating and drinking with friends
Playing pool or ping pong
Dancing at the Admiral
Meetiing new friends
Trying to figure out what I want to do with my Friday night
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm terribly ADHD. You might not notice it at first but you will... I promise. Oh yeah, and that I answered like over a hundred of those stupid match questions before I realized I only needed 25. I just kept thinking, surely this is the last one. Following directions has never been my strong suit.
