My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Pulled from Seattle when I was a young'n, I've become more and more enamored with this city. I continue to explore SF in search of debauchery and others to accompany me in my wily adventures.

I'm currently looking to actually get to know and spend time with someone. That whole randy part before bed is well and all but I much prefer the wake up portion. I dig intimacy more than sweaty. Maybe I should say the emotional piece is more important but that's less fun to write.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I currently work at a residential treatment facility for 13-17 year olds with behavioral issues and love it. I can go on about the job for quite some time and am extremely proud of the work I do. Kids are like cheery throw pillows. I'm also currently applying for master's programs (debating between a PsyD or a MSW).

I also spend time going out to shows (Slims, DNA lounge, Oakland Metro), hitting bars in the Sunset with my friends, playing guitar, and rocking the mic at karaoke.

I'm also going to unionize the hell out of my work and have been working on that for a bit.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Getting along with people, shredding, being surprisingly loud for such a quiet guy, speaking in Buffy-isms, air guitar/drums/posing, making bitchin' potatoes, providing humor in any situation, active listening, coming up with absurd band names, puns.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My height, long hair, and/or blue eyes. More than a couple of times, friends told me they first thought I was a viking. These people are extremely silly. Obviously, I'm a Celt.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
My favorite books are White Oleander, Dracula, Blindness, and The Inferno. Most of the books that I have been reading as of late have had to do with the GRE or teen treatment/psychology books. I dig books on mythology, as a generalization.

Movies: White Oleander, 28 Days Later, 28 Weeks Later, Hot Fuzz, Cabin Fever, Serenity, Dogma, Machete, From Dusk 'til Dawn, the Brave Little Toaster, Monty Python, Interview with the Vampire, and Sin City.

TV shows: Angel, Firefly, Scrubs, Spartacus, Mythbusters, Daily Show, Coupling, and Hex. Oh, and Buffy. You probably won't find a bigger Buffy nerd than I.

Music: I could really go on forever, as music has been a constant love and hobby throughout my life. I own too many CDs (worked at a record store for 5 years) so I'll just go with my all time favorites. Kreator, Impaled, Ludicra, Katatonia, My Dying Bride, Ram-Zet, Lux Occulta, Diablo Swing Orchestra, Unexpect, Fiona Apple, Tori Amos, Loreena McKennitt, the Prodigy, Garbage, Delerium, Bootsy Collins, Morphine, Alice in Chains, Mad Season. I also have developed a love for rock based film scores (the Fountain and 28 Days Later scores especially) as well as trip-hop compilations. Finally, 90's fondness is next to godliness. Ace of Base rules at life and new jack swing is phenomenal. Freak Me by Silk and anything Montell Jordan touches is gold.

Food: Food. Specifically curry, therefore I love Indian, Ethiopian, and Thai. I've been veggie for over a year now and am digging it.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
My guitar, my CD collection, knowing that I'm doing something worthwhile with my time, those close to me, live music, and ___________. This could either be the drive for world peace, or it could be waffles. You decide.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Would wreaking havoc on a unicorn really be considered pillaging? When's the next show?

Music, grad programs, where the closest pub is, the patterns and relationships within things, where I see myself in 5 years, where I'd ideally be in 5 years, what's the difference and how do I make it so that there is no difference, where the nearest trampoline is.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Working a 10 1/2 hour long shift. Hopefully only getting yelled at and not getting stabbed.

On my days off, I am currently training for a half marathon, playing guitar, hanging out with friends, and trying to find a way to escape the city life by going camping.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I bought the Buffy boxset, even though I already owned all of the seasons for a disc with an interview. The glories of having worked at a record shop!
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
If you want to go to a show or sing karaoke.

I have recently turned the corner into "the glass is half-full" territory which I very much enjoy. It is important to me for close ones to have the same perspective, so please no misanthropes or nihilists.

San Francisco seems to be fond on the folk looking for the casual thing which is fine, but I'm looking for something with a bit more substance. I'm one of those guys that are actually into the gooey emotional bit.

Or if you're a unicorn enthusiast.
