What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm a history student. I write about gender a lot.

Long term plans involve living in the woods. I fancy being a fletcher, or a cobbler. One of those useless professions.

I really love to write. My current goal is to have a novel manuscript ready to shop around to agents by the time I graduate.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I write a lot, all the time. I've done NaNoWriMo successfully every year since 2008, and I'll hopefully be having a couple of short plays put on by my uni drama soc this winter.

I like to bake! All my friends went up a clothes size last summer, which I think is fine praise.

I run sometimes as well. My marathon time is 3:55, but I've got a bit lax with exam season so I'm looking to get back into it in the summer.
The first things people usually notice about me

Probably my height. At 6' 4", I'm hard to miss.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Obviously, this isn't a comprehensive list of what I like but I'll just put down a few favourites.

Authors: Philip K. Dick, H. P. Lovecraft, Catherynne Valente, Genevieve Valentine. I'm really into Marvel comics right now: Ms. Marvel, Captain Marvel, and then there's Lumberjanes - anything written by women, I'll read.

Films: Super, Submarine, Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Scott Pilgrim, Halloween (1978), A Nightmare on Elm Street, the good Star Treks, Whip It. I've got West Side Story fever.

TV: Star Trek, Doctor Who, Daria, The X-Files, Peep Show, Mystery Science Theater 3000, The Office, Frasier, A Bit of Fry & Laurie, Arrested Development, Blake's 7, Game of Thrones, Dexter, Battlestar Galactica, Buffy, Futurama, and any Louis Theroux documentary. I'm a big TV person.

Music: Marilyn Manson, Molotov Jukebox, Placebo, St. Vincent, Grimes. Basically, a lot of hard and glam rock. Also, ask me about my blossoming love of Nicki Minaj. Vaughan Williams is my favourite orchestral composer.

Food: a whole lot of things, really. I'll be loyal to my roots and say that Iranian food is my favourite, but I really have quite diverse tastes.
