My self-summary
Some days I'll be brushing my teeth and feel like I can take on the world. Other days I'll accidentally drool toothpaste into my beard and marvel that I'm alive at all.

INTJ, or so that test tells me
What I’m doing with my life
Colorado native, transplanted to California to get my higher education on and liked it enough to stay for a while. I got a couple degrees in chemistry, decided I wanted to work in the brewing industry, and now I brew beer for a San Diego microbrewery. Yum.

EDIT: I am currently brewing beer in Nepal for another 3 months! Looking to move to NY, DC, or SF afterwards.
I’m really good at
Bar trivia, science, peeling a clementine in one piece, making fun of movie characters as I watch them. Also, drinking.

I'm pretty good at: throwing a football in a spiral, not getting lost in cities, talking like a beer snob, coming back at the exact right time after starting the microwave and walking away

I'm pretty bad at: doing things left-handed, dropping eyedrops in my eye on the first try, mario kart (the shame!)

I'm really bad at: that thing where you pat your head and rub your belly simultaneously
The first things people usually notice about me
Someone once told me I don't look as tall as I am. I like to think this makes me relatable
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I mostly listen to rock under all sorts of qualifiers (progressive, classic, hard, post-). Led Zeppelin, The Mars Volta, Explosions In The Sky, Queens Of The Stone Age, etc. I've been getting better about branching out and lately jamming in a more subdued fashion to bands like Dirty Three, Future Islands, The Decemberists, Modest Mouse, Neutral Milk Hotel, and Bon Iver.

Fight Club tops my list. Superbad, The Prestige, and The Fall are other favorites, and I'll watch anything that Aaron Sorkin wrote, David Fincher directed, or Paul Rudd was funny in.

Books kick ass. Genre rarely matters. Good writing is good reading. Some books I've read in the past six months or so: The Brothers Karamozov (Dostoevsky), Citizen Of The Galaxy (Heinlein), Ficciones (Borges), East Of Eden (Steinbeck), Slaughterhouse-Five (Vonnegut), Blind Willow, Sleeping Woman (Murakami), The Sun Also Rises + A Farewell To Arms (Hemingway), The Martian (Weir), Guns, Germs, And Steel (Diamond)

When I'm not mourning the losses of Stewart and Colbert, I'm digging Louie, Bob's Burgers, Jeopardy!, and Cosmos. Last Week Tonight does a great job scratching my righteous indignation itch. Game of Thrones of course. Classics like the West Wing, the Simpsons, It's Always Sunny, etc. are always welcome too.

Oh, during football season I turn into a bro and get really into grilling while watching enormous men give each other brain damage. I have also watched what most people would find to be a disconcerting number of tennis matches on Youtube.

You could reference any Calvin & Hobbes strip and I will get it.
The six things I could never do without
My Friends

That's five. Six is too many, and four? Get fucking serious
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Beer, Politics, Science

Where in the world I want to travel

My deep-seated preference for dental floss as opposed to dental tape

Zone blitzes! And other football strategy for which I am guaranteed to never have a practical use

The nature of humanity and stuff
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I think the "explained answers" say more about you than anything else on this site
