My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Moved to San Francisco from the UK. Beyond that a self summary is a bit of a new concept. I'm no longer so new to the USA and SF but figured this is probably a good way to meet people... and at the very least will prove very entertaining!

I'm from Scotland and lived in London for the last 5 years. Most of what I know about America I learned from Saved By The Bell and The Fresh Prince so I'm here to figure out if it's all true.

I love to travel, read, learn new languages and expand my mind with fiction, history, politics, science and anything else that captures my imagination. When not doing that I am generally trying to get my brain to switch off by going running or other exercise.

I'm a Scottish Lord through some land I was given with a hereditary title attached, but you should set the expectations of what the reality of that is pretty darn low...
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Moving! I've seen quite a bit of the world and I like it a lot, so I'm coming to a new continent to see some more.

Oh, and I'm an engineer and design buildings for a living - that's kind of relevant I guess.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Things I put my mind to.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Books - Catch 22, East of Eden, 100 Years of Solitude, All The Pretty Horses, Trainspotting... could go on and on.

Movies - True Romance, City of God, The Lives of Others, La Haine, Downfall, Tell No-One, Blade Runner, Terminator, Old Boy... I'm a big fan of foreign language films.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Things I could invent to change the world for the better. So far I've come up with a soup and a mint soda. I'll give you a moment to let how momentous those are sink in. Further inspiration welcome...
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Hanging out with friends.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I can design skyscrapers but I can't put furniture together to save my life.

When I was born my parents first choice name for me was Mungo. Straight up.

Thankfully I'm not actually called Mungo.
