My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.

I am not the most complex person. I don't think people are generally that complex. I am a cis-gendered bisexual white guy living in one of the most affluent nations in one of the richest periods of human history! Huzzah!

I'm pursuing a career in IT as sort of a placeholder. It yields cash and I'm good at it. I want to write for a living for at least a period of my life. I REALLY want to live abroad at some point.

I want to fall in love eventually. I want to have kids when I'm older. I'm non-religious but respectful of others' views. The stars fascinate me WAY more than the planet that I actually live on. Science is cool. Help.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Work, work, work! I'm trying - very hard - to balance my need for financial income and my desire to be educated. I entered the menial labor industry at fourteen and, rapidly approaching twenty-two, I'd really like to escape its angry, stressful clutches.

I work night stock at a grocery store, though, specifically. During my down time I write, plunk haphazardly on a guitar, and read.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I'm OK with a guitar: I play rhythm on acoustic and lead on an electric, but my fretting hand is not quite as strong or as fast as I'd like it to be. I taught myself, so I'm not well-versed in musical theory.

I love to write! This goes hand-in-hand with reading, of course, and it's one of my favorite ways to pass the time. I haven't written anything that I plan to publish (yet), but I love to pen ~3,000 to ~5,000 words for a writing prompt that catches my eye.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
The type of literature that I enjoy is kind of varied - I read novels written in video-game universes, (auto)biographies, science fiction, high fantasy, supernatural, etc. I'm fond of Neil Gaiman, I grew up with and adore J.K. Rowling, and my favorite work about a person's life is The Autobiography of Malcolm X, as dictated to Alex Haley - even though it is a bit hagiographic.

Moves and TV shows are sort of the same, though I definitely lean towards dramas that focus more on character and plot development than unadulterated action. No Michael Bay, please, ever.

Music? Classical, old-school country, funk, classic rock, classic pop, alternative/grunge rock, some lighter metal (early Metallica, no death/speed metal), indie, folk.

I'm not terribly picky about what types of food I'll eat, ethnically, but I'm kind of a picky eater when it comes to specific foods. As with most things in life, however, I will absolutely eat anything once. My favorite ethnic foods are usually Asian of some sort. omg pho~
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
The acoustic guitar that I've had since I was fourteen - it was the first thing I bought with my own hard-earned cash!

My Jeep! She and I have been through a lot. Yes, she's a she. Is it embarrassing to admit that I call her Sammy (short for Samantha)?

The super sweet mega-radical maxi-zundweebi condenser mic I bought last year. I don't know why! I like to talk to other people over the internet in CRYSTAL CLEAR TONES.

My COMFY, WARM, FASHIONABLE peacoat! Okay, I'm kind of reaching here - I really like that jacket, but I wouldn't be inconsolable if it died. I'm out of things. I'm sorry.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Foreign languages, beautiful places, fictional characters' lives.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Drinking with friends, tabletop-ing with friends, or quietly staring at my computer until I decide to go to bed.
