My self-summary Propose an edit

Basically, I'm the best that's ever lived. No contest.

I was born October, 16th, 1981. It was a Friday and I was ready for the weekend. I threw a kegger in my honor. I am the third of three children, I was the mistake. A blessing of a mistake, perhaps. Great things have been known to come when you least expected them.

Typically, I am atypical. I am right handed, but I am learning to be left handed to build stronger connections in my brain. I have two mice, Crackle and Poopy Pants. Snap died. I can answer any question and make it sound like I know what I'm talking about. I have a guitar, but I don't know any songs. I mostly just strum randomly and occasionally​ a melody comes of it, but mostly it's atonal noise.

I enjoy creating things. From creating new recipes (most of which turn out surprisingly​ well) to perfecting the Martini (or as some call it, the Gibson, I always use Gin, there's no art to a Vodka Martini), to making short films and stories. Give me any topic and I can write you an engaging story about it.

I like to listen to the radio more than watch TV. I like to cook, fish, golf, float down the river, see movies and bike. I try and eat healthy and I exercise every day.

I just moved to Hopkins and I live by myself, so I'm really looking to meet some new people and explore the cities. I just want to have a good time.

What I'm doing with my life Propose an edit

I am pursuing a career in writing and film production. I love movies. Everything from foreign flicks with subtitles, to independent features and shorts, to amateur video posted on youtube and even the over-produced Hollywood garbage. I can get lost in a pop movie like Blades of Glory just as easily as a classic like Casablanca or a documentary. I mostly just watch them for the entertainment aspect, but if I find that I am really enjoying it, I'll watch it again and again, probing deeper to find what it is I really enjoy about it and hopefully add to what limited knowledge I have about film.

I'm really good at Propose an edit

Cooking anything. Losing at cards. Writing. Finding the humor in anything.

To a lesser extent I am okay at making movies (the few I made are below my standards, but they have a special place in my heart).

Things I'm no good at, but want to improve are, playing the guitar, speaking other languages, camping, dancing (I've been salsa dancing once and I really enjoyed it, so as soon as it's in the budget, I'm taking lessons, I'd also like to learn Tango and Swing), Photography, Science (I love hypothesizing about what causes gravity and the relationships of time and space and matter).

I also enjoy discovering the meaning behind dreams and behaviors, especially my own. I also like to philosophize about the existence of free will and choice. Did you know that every thought you have is the result of a chemical reaction that occurs a split second before the thought occurs? What causes that chemical reaction?

I spend a lot of time thinking about Propose an edit

How to make dinner with the limited things in my kitchen. How I'm going to make a story out of the seemingly incongruous characters and situations I have on the page. All of the things I want to do in my life, from camping in the mountains, to dancing on a beach under the moon, to writing a books worth of Haiku and publishing just one copy to keep for myself

Figuring out what the perfect ratio of gin to vermouth are. Writing the independent feature film I hope to produce. What it is women think and how great it is to wake up next to a soft warm body. The romance in my future that I hunger for. How I'd get more done if I focused my attention on a single craft than taking interest in many.

On a typical Friday night I am Propose an edit

Sometimes out, sometimes in. To me Friday is just another day. You never know what a new day will bring and quite often, if you just let things take you where they will, any day can be significant. Why waste time waiting for a Friday that may not come?

Can you keep a secret? So can I. I have had my embarrassing moments, things I regret doing and things I regret not doing, I've hurt people and I've been hurt by people, but I prefer to let the past be the past. I am right where I am because of everything that has happened so far in my life, so I am okay with all of it. In the end, we're all the same, we want and need the same basic things, food, shelter, safety, love, friends, the only thing that makes us individuals are our perspectives. I do my best to remain positive and open-minded, but I do slip from time to time, I am only human.

Also, I'm a little upset that I can't give myself personality and looks star ratings.
