My Self-Summary

I am a happy father of two wonderful teenagers who I see twice during the week and alternate weekends. I recently changed careers after years in the corporate world. I'm now living the dream of being in Health Care where instead of making money for some company I am making a difference in the lives of those who need care.

I've had the experience of traveling throughout Asia and Europe. I especially loved Korea and Singapore. And avid snow skiier, not only have I skied Sunrise and Snowbowl, but Chamonix in France and Kitzbuel in Austria. I speak German horribly and know enough Korean to order rice and beer. (Basic survival skill there)

What I’m doing with my life

I've just finally decided to begin living some of my dreams that have been put on hold for too long. I now live in the pines, but am in the Valley about 3-4 days a week. As I write this, I am looking out my window at a meadow of pine trees. My two cats are trying to eat the tape off the moving boxes and my kids are sleeping in the other room. In a small town, I can literally step outside my door and walk across the one main road in town to the small hardware store or local bar where I can sing karaoke on Saturday night. (Yes, I can sing and I started karaoke on my first trip to Japan.)

I’m really good at

I am the ultimate handyman. I have added a room onto a house by myself, rebuilt a plasma reactor (high tech geek here) and am restoring a 32 year old Toyota Celica. Thank the Universe for Ebay! I am adept at public speaking, thinking fast on my feet and laughing at myself.

Books: Robert Heinlein, Harry Turtledove, Practical books on handyman stuff, and basically anything with words on it.

Music: Just about anything.

Food: I've tried a lot in my travels. Not fond of sushi or monkey brains. Squeamish when it comes to eating drunken Prawns. Have eaten the worm at the bottom of a bottle of Mescal. (Is that food?)
