I am a Santa Cruz local. I've studied Marine Transportation at the
California Maritime Academy, and I currently a Mate in the U.S.
In my spare time I enjoy reading all sorts of books. Novels, short
essays, Fantasy, Science Fiction, Comic Books, Graphic Novels,
Manga, you name it I read it.
I enjoy outdoor activities such as skiing, hiking, and gardening. I
also enjoy working on projects like wood/metal working.
I really enjoy meeting new people, but at the same time I can be a
bit shy, at first.
What I’m doing with my life
I am a Mate working in the The United States Merchant Marine
Industry or in much simpler terms, I'm a sailor working on a
commercial shipping vessel. When I'm away, I spend weeks sailing on
the open ocean, traveling from port to port, wherever the job

One thing I'm really good at is remembering seemingly useless
I'm good at thinking and figuring out things. Designs, projects,
events. I like to have things laid out in front of me.
The first things people usually notice about me
My eyes. I know, it's the same old cliche, but out of everything
I've receive more compliments about my eyes than anything else.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: I enjoy the workings of classic Fantasy and Sci-Fi writers
such as J.R.R. Tolkein, Robert Heinlein, and Douglas Adams.
Recently I've been readings book by authors, George R.R. Martin,
Neil Gaiman, Terry Brooks, and Orson Scott Card.
T.V. Shows: Lately I've been watching primetime comedy shows like
30 Rock, The Office, Parks and Rec, and The Big Bang Theory. I am a
fan of such TV shows as LOST, Arrested Development, Game of Thrones
,and Dr. Who. I'm always looking for new shows, because you never
know when you might find something 20% cooler.
I am an avid Gamer. I am a Comic and Anime/Manga Enthusiast with a
continually growing library, and I've recently gotten back into
table top RPG's after an incredibly long dry spell.
I like all kinds of music, but I more often enjoy classic rock,
alternative rock, and classical.

When I'm out a sea, I spend a lot of time thinking about what I'm
going to do when I get home. All the journeys and adventures I'll
have. All the people I'll meet.

pop culture, and my assignment at sea.

Well, I guess it would be that I'm a little bit nerdy. I like doing
