My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I work hard and play hard whenever possible. Socially, I'm obnoxious and fun and I gravitate to people who are the same. I can usually be convinced to do anything, once, and if it's especially foolhardy, I'll probably do it again just to be sure.
Professionally, I'm kind of serious, so yeah, there's that.
I'm political, and the things that happen in the world are important to me, but I'm quite aware that politics can be boring at times.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I've reached a point in where I can decide what I want to do, instead of what I have to do. So, lately, I've been getting more exercise, and running in charity 10K events. It's a great way to do something for the community and achieve a goal. Plus, it comes with T-Shirts and you can eat whatever you want.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I like to cook and when I have the time, I'll usually try fixing something new or complicated.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm nowhere near as attractive as I should be. Also, I'm kind of a nerd and not in the way that a sudden removal of glasses can fix.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Authors: Phillip K. Dick. Larry Niven. Neil Stephenson. Harry Ellison.
Movies: I love watching them, but I have few favorites.
Music: Fatboy Slim, Clor, Devo, Depeche Mode, and anything electronic and clubby to run to.
Food: I am an omnivore, but I'm not a jerk about it. I do like to cook, and even the worst food tastes better when you personally cook it.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Free time: I need to clear my head
Internet: I'm a news junkie.
Books: the effort it takes to write something down deserves our attention.
Exercise: only a fool thinks that this body will last forever.
Friends: A beer between friends is infinitely better than a kneel at the pew.
Honesty: I give the truth. I expect the truth. Everything else is marketing.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
I spend most of thinking time worrying about how society will progress and how it will affect our future. And pie.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
I like to hang out with friends and if given the chance I can find no better place to be than in a fun social setting.
Lately, however I've had to move it to saturday. For some reason, 10Ks are always at 8am on saturday morning. Nobody likes to run with a hangover.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
