My self-summary
....it's tough summarizing what isn't linear and what has no clear essence.

...Actually its remarkably easy to summarize such a thing....its just a question of what can ultimately be expected from such a summary? If you can answer that question...you'll at least have a good summary of who you are.

I'm an existentialist. A feminist. I'm eternally bored by politics. I like guitars. I get along alright.
What I’m doing with my life
...I have a career...but that's just part of it...I'm trying to learn how to act more out of compassion, faith, and hope...and how to create more beauty...outside of working and all of that business I try to do nothing and just be....but I mess that up frequently and start doing again.

Meditation. Compiling what I perpetually pray remain small piles of trash.

I sometimes forget to breathe. I never forget to write.
I’m really good at
Listening and responding. I believe all the human talents ultimately rest there....also: producing blank stares on children's faces....hanging out in book stores....avoiding crowds....giving compliments....finding inopportune times for jokes....eating cereal....not reacting emotionally to other drivers.....
The first things people usually notice about me
Something that is deep within their self that I can usually not relate to ....but it makes for nice conversation and allows me to cheat at poker despite appearing as a law abiding citizen.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
oh well, .....if only someone's favorite book told you something about who they were....nevertheless, books and and music have helped me define my life in moments of wild thin mercury, but - have my definitions been actualized? ....

Bob Dylan and Soren Kierkegaard have never erred....and besides not erring, they've done many lovely things that I'd probably have cut my own ear off long ago had I had to do without them.

Heidegger , Rilke, Kafka, Hoelderlin, Rimbaud, Camus, James Baldwin, Thomas Merton ....so many other dead people
The six things I could never do without
Everything that has ever mattered to me, at one time or another, I've had to do without...I don't think I dig this question.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
.I think frequently about literature, spirituality, philosophy, theology, music, work, my friends and family - ways to be of service to others (i wish I was better at that) - how I wish I was a more active gardener...what is emptying out of my pen...other strange domestic things....none of this was in order of importance....
On a typical Friday night I am
True, though its a distinct possibility I am not.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
When nobody can see me....I tap dance....It's impossible for me to prove this....and therefore....universally and categorically private - but hey....admire my willingness?
