Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
So a bit about me...you'll have to ask me to find out more.
I am mostly a normal guy… well at least on the outside the inside
is a bit off color. There are a lot of different pieces to me and
like a puzzle each piece adds to the whole trying to describe how
those pieces fit isn’t something I am great at doing. I have worked
as a chef, a geek, a laborer.
I like to stay home by a fire (except my new place doesn't have a
fireplace, does yours?) or to travel to see new places. I like long
walks in the evenings or playing games on the computer. I like
great shows, and cheesy movies. So much depends on who I’m with and
the mood at the time.
I grew up a New Yorker and I guess I'll always have a bit of that
in me. But I have lived in many places and they have all changed
me. I'm a first generation American, and also date back to the
revolution. I like wearing a tux to a show, or eating a burger on
the corner in jeans. There isn't a definition that has ever really
resonated with me. Maybe you can find one?
I’d love to meet folks that add to my life, people that smile and
see the joy in the things around them. I’m looking for a person
with whom I can first build a friendship and I’m looking for a
person that makes me laugh, I’m looking for a person just for fun,
but really I think that friendship would be the best take

What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I think I have had a pretty full life, but I also look forward to
adding more experiences to my life. At this point I have reached a
place in life where I’m comfortable with myself, but still want to
grow. I spend my time split between doing the work that pays my
bills, and doing the work that fulfils my heart with a local
non-profit. Yes that takes a lot of my time, but it leaves me
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I’m really good at cooking
, and problem solving
. I’m good at
being a friend, and at being loyal. I can usually see both sides to
an issue (which is a blessing and a curse).
The first things people usually notice about me

My eyes (at least that's what they tell me)
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
This could get long, my favorite changes with my mood. But right
Books: Most by Neil Stephenson, William Gibson, P.K. Dick, S.M.
In general I tend to the science fiction/fantasy genre. I have been
reading some alternative history lately and likeing it.
Movies: Better Off Dead, Blade Runner, The Wall, Rocky Horror, Star
Wars, Serenity, Harold and Maude.
My tastes really span a wide range. I like silly comedies, and big
action flicks, really I like movies in general.
Music: Pink Floyd, Afro Celt, Meat Loaf, NIN, Amanda Palmer, VNV
This is a tough one to pin down. I like a huge range of music.
Really the only music styles I am not fond of are Rap and some
country. Different music fits different events and different moods
music links strongly to my life experiences.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Politics and history. I tend to keep up with politics, and I try to
see how the sides are falling apart from each other. So I tend to
see events in the world through the filters of politics and history
(aren’t they really the same in many ways), I find myself often
frustrated at how little we teach history and its impacts on our
I love seeing how things fit together, everything from world events
to those little nail puzzles in bars.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
With friends in various places. I have a pretty full life, so it
seems that where I spend my Fridays will vary week to week.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm a pretty open book, so I'm not certain what to put here.

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You think that there may be a connection, you think that we could
be friends, or hell you just want to chat!
While yes this is a dating site, that doesn't mean that is the only
interactions we might have. I'd rather make friends then have just
lovers, and if some friends become lovers, that's even better!
