My self-summary
An English teacher once dubbed me the master of concision, so I'll keep this brief.

I was born in Seattle and grew up in the northern suburbs. The longest I've been away from the city was 8 months in 2012 when I joined the Navy and went to Great Lakes, IL for boot camp and then the Florida panhandle for schooling. I'm a reservist now and spend one weekend a month in Everett.

I really dig being a Seattleite, but I can be a little annoying about it, as my navy buddies from other parts of the country can testify. We're pretty lucky to live in a city as tolerant and creative as this one, although we shouldn't make the mistake of fooling ourselves into thinking that Seattle is some harmonious, liberal utopia. We still got issues; driving a Prius and composting aren't going to magically solve all the ills we face.

I am not a democrat, but I am pragmatically liberal.

I don't possess a car; buses and my feet convey me just fine.
What I’m doing with my life
Bending all my activities towards building a successful filmmaking career in Seattle. There's not much of a film industry in this city to speak of, so I'll have to just be prolific and put my work in front of as many eyeballs as possible with the scant resources that are at my disposal. Luckily the means of moviemaking have become sufficiently affordable in this era that I can make films and exhibit them on the Internet and perhaps at film festivals with relatively little capital; all that is required are originality and skill. As far as production is concerned, I'm currently focused on making short films, but I'm also taking on the monumental task of writing a feature screenplay that's actually good and could reasonably be expected to see its way to the screen if my elaborate plans for self-promotion play out as they should. We'll see if I'm successful at such an ambitious undertaking.
I’m really good at
Baking apple pies from scratch.

Finishing other people's meals.

Following the news.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
90% of my reading material is the news or non-fiction books. I guess I can be picky when it comes to novels, but I like Nueromancer, Dune, and The Great Train Robbery.

I am a constant defender of The Tree of Life and I don't get why anyone likes Argo. Finding great short films on vimeo is a wonderful little pleasure.

Andrew Bird is a musical hero of mine. I also dig Neko Case, Tom Waits, Buffy Saint-Marie, Phil Ochs, Basia Bulat, MS MR, and Justice.

House of Cards is my favorite new show this year, yet you will not find it on television.

The city

Stimulating conversation
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How to make it as a filmmaker without moving to Los Angeles.
On a typical Friday night I am
Enjoying a film on my couch or at the theater.

On a date with you, perhaps.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I once got in a fight with a beer pong table. It was quick and there were no winners.
I’m looking for
  • Girls who like guys
  • Ages 19–35
  • Near me
  • For new friends, long-term dating, short-term dating, activity partners
You should message me if
You want to complain about Republicans.

You want a partner for an adventure upon bicycles.

You're familiar with and regularly employ the concept of "yes, and..."

You wouldn't mind someone to work out with.

But, most importantly, if something I've written here made you laugh or nod your head in agreement, be bold and drop me a line!
