My self-summary
I'm a happy, confident man who highly values honesty and compassion. My biggest joy comes from making people happy whether through humor or deeds. I grew up on the East Coast, but moved to California after college and have lived all over the West Coast since then. I've worked in the film business and the video game business. Entertainment and having fun are key to making life worthwhile to me. I feel that I am easy to talk to and don't judge people for their beliefs. Well, the exception is that I can be fairly intolerant of hypocrisy, the irony is not lost on me :).

I enjoy seeing good films, eating delicious food, playing strategic or party board games with friends, walking in the woods, going to dog parks with my dog, discussing life and all the wonderful and less wonderful things in it, and avoiding hanging off 100 ft gorges by my ankles while being surrounded by bees (don't ask, unless you want a laugh at my expense).

I believe in the abundance of love (meaning loving one person does not take away from loving another), and am in a poly-amorous relationship. I do consider myself a pretty open person about things so feel free to ask questions.
What I’m doing with my life
I have a great job designing casual iPad games, am married and have a beautiful 3 year old daughter. I like to host board game party nights for a group of 10-20 friends. I enjoy getting out to parks with my dog. Currently, I work in Seattle and live in Kirkland. I'm always looking for something creative to spin my brain on.
I’m really good at
I have a knack for finding four leaf clovers, perhaps it is my Irish blood. I'm also good at saying inappropriate things at the right time; People seem to enjoy my sense of humor. I've also been told that I'm a good listener and I'm pretty sure it is true because, you know, ... they said it ... and obviously I listened to them saying it. That is a pudding full of proof right there.
The first things people usually notice about me
In a group, they would assume that I'm shy because I generally like to understand a group dynamic before interjecting myself too much. One on one, I assume people find me affable, witty and genuine. Physically it might be my hazel Irish eyes or my dimples when I’m smiling. I've also been told it is my dark hair with "distinguished" bits of gray and my dark humor delivered with a mischievous grin.

I spend a lot of time thinking about
Good things. It may sound weird but every day I spend a couple minutes thinking of 3 unique, current things that make me happy. Could be as simple as the way the light comes in through a window or as important as the good health of a loved one.

I’m not sure where I got this, might have been the Dalai Lama. Every day we are served up depressing news stories that usually have no immediate bearing on us but serve to train our minds to see bad things. It skews our perspective. It gets people saying things like, “What is this world coming to?” and “Things are getting worse every day.” and “Is that cat vomit again!?” (ok, the last one might not be applicable to other people right now).

The world is full of great things but if we don’t train our minds to look for them, we often lose sight of them or take them for granted. The thing is, the more we search for the good stuff the more our brains are trained to see it. Also it is very important to use the term “things I’m happy about” instead of “thankful for” or “lucky to have”. Both of those terms imply that we are inherently unworthy of that good thing. You are worthy of good things.
On a typical Friday night I am
Hanging with my buddies playing a board game and watching some TV. I do like to go out, but Friday nights tend to be laid back with the guys. Not always though.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
My wife and I have a polyamorous relationship.

NSPP
I’m looking for
  • Girls who like guys
  • Ages 30–47
  • Near me
  • For new friends, long-term dating, short-term dating, casual sex
You should message me if
You think we could have an interesting conversation. I'm looking to meet new people and hopefully find a female friend to get silly with/have deep conversations with over lunches, dinners or drinks. If the chemistry is right, maybe something more. My wife and I have an open relationship, but I'm not looking for one night stands or anything too serious to begin with.
