I am gregarious, rational, and passionate.
My Self-Summary
I do a little writing, some arting, some gaming, some fencing, and
a lot of trying to juggle all the stuff I do. My interests are
broad, but I'm currently working to focus on fewer hobbies and
pursue them more intently. I tend to talk a lot and I'm a skinny
guy with a deep voice, so it's kind of noticeable when I do. My
most apparent flaw is probably arrogance, but I try to always
acknowledge when I'm wrong - if I don't, I'll be wrong forever.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm finishing up my bachelor's in public relations. The current
plan is to work for a year, and then begin grad school for history.
I'm not counting out the possibility of sticking with work/career,
though.
Last semester I finished my undergraduate thesis on swordplay in
17th century England, which is why I'm now looking at history
degrees. I'm also interested in a lot of historical martial
pursuits.
I abandoned my second major in studio art; now I'm doing art on my
own. I'm really into stencils right now, and I've been making
tapestries, which is a lot of fun.
I’m really good at
I dunno. I'm pretty good at some things. I've been considering
posting a couple sketches of myself in my photo section - then you
could decide for yourself if I'm any good at the art stuff, I
guess.
The first things people usually notice about me
Probably my voice - it's not unusual to hear me before you can see
me.

Quotes (I know, but there's no other place for them):
"I like my neuroses - they are my living sketchbook. I don't want
to work them out."
-Jenny Saville
"So I submit to you that there really is no society in human
history that has ever suffered because its population became too
reasonable."
-Sam Harris
"I have made this [book] of bricke and stones, as Augustus laid of
Rome at the first, but now Rome is built with marble: even so I
wold wish that some expert and learned person or other would pull
downe this rude begun worke of mine and build it up with marble,
for the worke it selfe if it were workmanlike handled, deserveth to
be written in leters of gold, and to remain for ever, but first it
must be twice or thrice distilled as they doe their Rosasolis, for
first it is Aquavitae, & then in the second and third
distillation, there is bestowed greater charge and more excellent
matter ariseth of it."
-Joseph Swetnam
I spend a lot of time thinking about
I spend a lot of time thinking about thinking. I mean, other things
too - politics, relationships, and antagonistic activities,
generally in that order.
You should message me if
You like to talk, you like to read, and you are eager, if I spout
bullshit, to call me on it .
If you find me interesting, you should message me. I think I come
off as more gutsy than I actually am, and I generally like talking
to new people of all kinds.
