My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm an idealist and try to hold on to the joy and the beauty found in the quiet moments of our lives. My obnoxious optimism is one of the only ways I know how to combat and live in a world filled with so much shit. I think it's important to be active participants in change and hope that I'm doing my small part to change the world.

I would love to live in an intentional community where a group of people own the land in common and practice sustainability. I want my own hut though. I need my space!

I love to travel. I get the itch and try to travel when I can. I'm not done traveling and I have an extensive travel list.

I’m horrible at sarcasm. It’s rather funny actually. Sometimes I wish a red light would go off when people are being sarcastic. So, if you see me squinting my eyes and looking glazed over I’m trying to figure out what you're saying. It always makes for interesting times when I’m hanging with the sarcastics.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm a creative writing teacher for a group for kiddos online. We use the RPG to get kids excited and interested in writing. They level up in the game depending on the amount of words they write. It's a wonderful job I've done off and on over the last several years. I also help run and teach at a Summer Fantasy Writing Camp in the summer.

I also write for a comic book website. For a writing gig it's a lot of fun. When the planets align just right I also write for a writing website.

Starting Grad school soon (Special Education), so back on here with the hope of meeting cool friends to hang out with that live in the area. Also looking for a workout buddy. Last 8 months have been more stagnate than I would like. One of my goals is to get more active and enjoy the many ways one can move their body. Big fan of Nia if you want to try out a class.

I am also into a lot of woo woo stuff. I used to do energy healing and clearing with a meditation group back in Denver. I love it. It's the one time the week I feel like the ultimate bad-ass.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I make for a really good teacher and it's what I love to do. Working with kids' creativity is my passion. I love watching the wheels in their heads turn.

I feel that I'm a good listener. It's something I've really focused on developing over the years.

Healthy boundaries.

I'm good at generating ideas and solutions to problems.

I'm good at the RPG and LARPing activities.

Creative, intuitive, insightful...

Really good at spoiling a movie :(

and talking more than I need to.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Physical: Got the brown hair and blue eyes.

Non physical: A little shy at first, awkward, talk a lot and quickly, I notice lots of things all once. Talk with my hands. Stuff like that I expect.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

I'm a fan of fantasy and Science fiction anything really. Here’s what I like. It’s not really limited to what I list though.

Books: Name of the Wind, Wise Man’s Fear (Favorite books at the moment), Graceling, Anne McCaffrey, Lynn Flewelling, Mercedes Lackey, Octavia Butler, Ray Bradbury, Kurt Vonnegut, Philip K. Dick, Jane Austen, Tanya Huff, Margaret Atwood.

Just read Saga: Fracking brilliant!

Shows:

Currently: Hemlock Grover, OITNB, Orphan Black...

And (I seem to watch too much shit) Firefly, Buffy, Angel, Fringe

STAR TREK (all of them) And when I mention Star Trek you need to know that I'm obsessed! I have watched most seasons over an over again. The Trek is usually my background noise. I also have all these article ideas. Hell I have articles online about the trek. Thought I'd let you know, since it continues to be an important part of my life.

X-Men(90’s cartoon), Pushing daises, being human, 3rd Rock from the sun, Sex and the City (guilty), Sliders, True Blood, Torchwood, Doctor Who (David Tennent and previous) , Stargate,

My favorite movie still seems to be Bladerunner. I just love it. I also love Star Wars and Lord of the Rings. Since I read a lot I gave up going to movies that are based on the books. It’s not worth the asshole that comes out when I go. Though there have been a few book to movie adaptations I like. Harry Potter and Time Machine come to mind.

I'm not really picky with my music. It all depends on the mood I’m in. I do have a soft spot for sad love songs that make me cry and angry 90’s music. Some songs have a better ability to stop me in my tracks than others. In my opinion, I feel Hallelujah was the best song ever written.

That’s all that I can think of at the moment.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Friends/family
Passion
Something to read
Magic
Change
Touch: It's a big deal!
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Everything. Does it really matter? Imagine a beehive in the crossroads of a multiverse and you may have an idea of what the inside of my brain looks like.

Vulcan mind melds... Betazoid empathic telepathy wishing these were ways I communicated

Remember those days when you were a young one. All you had to do was go up to that random kid in school who had a buffy lunch box. "You like buffy... I like Buffy... LETS BR FRIENDS." I miss that

Don't get me wrong I don't want to relive adolescence, but sometimes adults lack of whimsy bothers me.

There are a couple of incorrect answers. Dyslexia won again. Major one, which I will fix tomorrow: I would date a transgender person/gender queer/variant ect...

Also, I keep noticing in the questions that all "men" (profiles I have looked at anyway) wont date a comic book geek. It makes me wonder (Do they think only men can be comic book nerds and thus why they have answered the way they have?)
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Just put a chair futon together with these two hands and no help. I am a boss!!
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I've always found this box odd. I would say I used to be an open book but now I'm a bit more reserved and cautious around people.
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
I'll let the bitch come out here. DON'T MESSAGE ME IF. I REPEAT DO NOT if: you're a homophobic, think bi is just a phase, just plan on sending; Hi, wanna bang, or my husband and I are interested in....

Also, I'm NOT poly. I've thought of it and have several friends who are. It's not for me. I want one romantic partner. However, if you're looking for a PLATONIC pal I'm your woman.

Also, I reserve the right to be picky. If I don't respond that's my choice as it's yours. I have no qualm blocking you if you get stalkery, rude, or disrespectful. I have a tendency to respond on a whim of intuition, so if I don't respond it's not personal get over it and good luck hunting.

Otherwise message me on a whim, or you think we might hit it off. I enjoy a good conversation about star trek any time. :) Till then happy hunting.
