My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm an idealist who tries to hold on to the joy and beauty found in the quiet moments of our lives. My obnoxious optimism is the only way I know how to be. I also have a pensive dark side and can get stuck in thought spirals.

"I am half agony half hope"

I think it's important to be active participants in change and hope that I'm doing my small part to change the world for the better.

I would love to live in an intentional community where a group of people own the land in common and practiced sustainability. (or existed in a world where this was just a thing) I want my own hut though. I need my space!

Interesting fact: I’m horrible at sarcasm. It’s rather funny actually. Sometimes I wish a red light would go off when people are being sarcastic. So, if you see me squinting my eyes and looking glazed over I’m trying to figure out what you're saying. It always makes for an interesting/fun time when I’m hanging with the sarcastics.

You: passionate about somthing. People who have a drive and are finding ways to live their passion is the sexiest thing to me. Soneone who loves adventure and is always on the move. While I can chill I also have a lot of kinetic energy. When I travel I want to see and absorb as much as humanly possible. I'm also looking for a counter part. Someone who's different enough to make a relationship interesting and grow in different ways. Someone with intensity under a calm veneer.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm a creative writing teacher for a group for 2E kiddos online. I also write for a comic book website. For a writing gig it's a lot of fun. When the planets align just right I also write for a writing website. In the process of looking for more work. (I know this profile is riddled with typos and stuff. Over time they will be fixed.)

I'm in grad school for Special Education. It's been uber difficult in general to meet people in Eugene. So, I'm back on here with the hope of meeting cool friends to hang out with that live in the area... and, well, romance too.

I am also into a lot of woo woo stuff. I used to do energy healings and clearings with a meditation group back in Denver. I loved it. Meditation has helped my anxiety two fold.

I also used to do paranormal investigations with a group in my undergrad. I had a couple of interesting experiences. I try not to get to dogmatic about my beliefs. I feel science is really important and does inform a lot of what I believe. Existing between science and mystery is a fun place to be. I try to question everything and if new information is presented consider it.

That being said... :-/ I'm a bit annoying when it comes to astrology.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I make for a really good teacher and it's what I love to do. Working with kids' creativity is my passion. I love watching the wheels in their heads turn.

I feel that I'm a good listener. It's something I've really focused on developing over the years

I'm good at generating ideas and solutions to problems.

I'm good at the RPG and LARPing activities.

Creative, intuitive, insightful...

Really good at spoiling a movie :(

and talking more than I need to.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Physical: Got the brown hair and blue eyes.

Non physical: A little shy at first, awkward, talk a lot and quickly, I notice lots of things all once. Talk with my hands. Stuff like that I expect.

I snort when I laugh. I guess people find it endearing.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

I'm a fan of fantasy and Science fiction anything really. Here’s what I like. It’s not really limited to what I list though.

Books: Name of the Wind, Wise Man’s Fear (Favorite books at the moment), Graceling, Anne McCaffrey, Lynn Flewelling, Mercedes Lackey, Octavia Butler, Ray Bradbury, Kurt Vonnegut, Philip K. Dick, Jane Austen, Tanya Huff, Margaret Atwood.

Comic bookd: Rise of the Magi, Saga, Birch Planet, Nailbiter, ect...

Currently: OITNB, Orphan Black...

And (I seem to watch too much shit) Firefly, Buffy, Angel, Fringe

STAR TREK (all of them) And when I mention Star Trek you need to know that I'm obsessed! I have watched most seasons over and over again. The Trek is usually my background noise. I also have all these article ideas. Hell I have articles online about the trek. Thought I'd let you know, since it continues to be an important part of my life.

X-Men(90’s cartoon), Pushing daises, being human, 3rd Rock from the sun, Sex and the City (guilty), Sliders, True Blood, Torchwood, Doctor Who (David Tennent and previous) , Stargate,

My favorite movie still seems to be Bladerunner. I just love it. I also love Star Wars and Lord of the Rings. Since I read a lot I gave up going to movies that are based on the books. It’s not worth the asshole that comes out when I go. Though, there have been a few good book to movie adaptations I like. Harry Potter and Time Machine come to mind.

I'm not really picky with my music. I listen to Janella Monea and in the same playlist have Hilary Duff. So music really all depends on the mood I’m in. I do have a soft spot for sad love songs that make me cry and angry 90’s music. Some songs have a better ability to stop me in my tracks than others. In my opinion, I feel Hallelujah was the best song ever written.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Something to read
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Everything. Does it really matter? Imagine a beehive in the crossroads of a multiverse and you may have an idea of what the inside of my brain looks like.

Vulcan mind melds... Betazoid empathic telepathy wishing these were ways I communicated

Remember those days when you were a young one. All you had to do was go up to that random kid in school who had a buffy lunch box. "You like buffy... I like Buffy... LETS BE FRIENDS." I miss that. Don't get me wrong I don't want to relive adolescence, but sometimes adults lack of whimsy bothers me.

Really missing Egypt and traveling.

Semiotics, quantum physics, space travel, the future, the acient past, societal constructs, blah blah blah blabbity blah.

This doesn't even cover what I think about on the daily...

Like... do the words whore and hoarder somehow have the same etymological history... need to look this up.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Yoga, food, Star Trek. :) Add a person to curl up next too and it sounds like the perfect evening.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
(Insert something intriguing and interesting here)... I'm too fondly attached to the words intriguing and interesting. Sorry if I use them when I message you.
When I say I know Arabic poorly I really do mean poorly. I really need to get back into learning. All that study in Egypt has left me.
