Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I love reading/writing, playing sports, running (training for my
first marathon), stargazing, and various other activities. I have a
road bike and ride it as frequently as I find time to.
I want to chase tornadoes and if I ever met the Storm Chasers crew
from Discovery I would probably dissolve into some kind of geeky
I have a very idiosyncratic sense of humor. I will laugh in the
middle of a movie and people will look at me oddly, which is quite
all right, to be honest. I enjoy finding things to laugh at when
there isn't anything obviously funny... although if I tried to
explain what I was laughing at it would probably make very little
sense once vocalized. =P
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Becoming wiser every day. I hope.
Treating every person I meet with respect and decency.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Reading people. I am frequently asked if I can read minds (are
people really still *that* unaware of what Psychology entails?),
and my answer is always, "Of course I can."
Playing any kind of competitive sport or game.
Most of my friends come to me for advice on what to do if they're
stumped or upset, so we'll have to chalk one up to empathy here.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
After thinking about my answer to this question, I moved it off
this section because it really didn't fit. Into the self-summary it
goes! This question feels too vain to be answered, anyway.

The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Books and stories.
Various forms of technology to satiate my inner-technophile.
Severely inclement weather. Yeah, the tornado chasing thing. =P I
shall miss the spring storms now that I'm here in California.
Music. To run to, to relax to, to embrace to, to ponder to, to work
out to, to reflect upon, and to learn from.
A nice bed to sleep on. Because you really can't appreciate the
value of the sleep you get on a good bed until you have spent
several days without one.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Lately I've been contemplating the road I've walked down (no, not
that one... no, not that one either.... you know what? forget it,
it's a metaphor) and how I've got here.
I wonder if the mistakes I made really did allow me to learn and
strengthen myself as a person, or if I really haven't learned as
much as I thought/hope, and I'll repeat them in the near future.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Playing basketball, ultimate frisbee, gaming, stargazing
(telescope!), taking photos, going out with friends, etc. Spending
every weekend drinking at the bar is just not my thing. Though some
nights I might just stay in and watch a movie, game, or surf
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I have actively tried to comprehend the size of the universe today
and thought about the ramifications of the scope with which we live
in. Cliche? Eh, maybe, but no less true. The first time I saw
Saturn through my telescope, I had to remind myself that this was a
real object I was looking at, at a distance my mind is barely
capable of conceiving. It was a wonderful, humbling
