I'm just getting my toes wet again in this dating thing. So this feels completely awkward. Which is actually kinda normal for me ;p

So about me... I'm transplanted here from Florida and I could not be happier. I love Austin. The culture, the people, the great food, the great entertainment, the beautiful outdoors. All of it. And I love taking advantage of all of it as often as I can. I love going to see live music when I can. I love being outdoors and hiking, especially in Walnut Creek. I love going to the theatre and seeing plays and musicals. I love just walking down south congress to roam in stores and people watch. I love going to the Alamo for fun film events and just watching movies period. Probably the hardest thing about leaving Florida (minus leaving my awesome friends), was leaving Disney. Since I was born and raised there, I am a huge Disney fan. I love the movies sure, but I really love the parks. The magic!

I love art and going to galleries and museums. I adore tattoos. I have three. Will get more. You know the drill. I just so appreciate the meanings and the artwork. That is how I feel about really good graffiti too. I have a favorite place that I go to see good work and just clear my mind a little.

I also love baking and cooking. I make a fantastic chocolate chip cookie. Seriously. You won't be disappointed. I like trying new foods and kinda figure one bite of anything won't kill me. Unless it is badly prepared blow fish. That will actually kill me. So ok maybe no fugu. I like trying new dishes at home too and always seem to be baking or cooking something different. Except when just a sandwich for dinner sounds so simple and nice when I'm exhausted :)

Though I can appreciate a fun night out, I'm not a huge drinker. Only occasionally socially. Nor do I smoke or anything else. I really like being present in the moment and experiencing new and fun things that give me a much more fulfilling high. I love going on adventures! Small ones, big ones, doesn't matter. I just enjoy doing different and sometimes challenging things! This year one of those things on my list is to go kayaking. I've never done that, and me and lady bird lake have a date this spring!

So I guess I should talk a little about what I'm looking for...

Well humor and laughing is a big deal to me. Someone that is quick with a genuine smile and laugh is ideal. I love laughing and have a big laugh. You've been warned ;) My friends tell me it is very endearing. That being said, it is also good to know when being more serious is more appropriate. I would like someone who wants to go on adventures with me. Be up for almost anything. Even if it is just to get out of the house with no real plan. (Oh speaking of plans, even though I'm kinda spontaneous, I am also kinda a planner too - just throwing that out there) I really want someone who is affectionate and willing to hold hands and be hugged. My friends also tell me I'm a great hugger :) I am admittedly very cuddly. Again, you've been warned ;)

Basically, I just want an honest and genuine guy that wants to have fun times, have serious times, have silly times, be supportive and receive good support. I am a caretaker kinda person, but I need that in return too.

So that about sums it up, for now at least. Until we sit down over some coffee or something and chat it out :)

For work: I work in the video games industry currently doing events and travel and other assorted random stuff. It is fun. It is paying the bills. I love being in the creative atmosphere!

For life: I'm constantly working on bettering myself. I've really worked on living a healthier lifestyle and trying to be the best person that i can be. I'm always looking for new adventures, big and small. Even though I want to know what the future holds, I try to stay focused on right here and now, my friends, my family, being happy.

oh my gosh this is a never ending list of stuff. in short i love reading novels (that are occasionally embarrassing to admit and mostly not), I love seeing nearly any type of movie. I love the theatre - both plays and musicals. I have a pretty eclectic variety of music I enjoy. And i'm pretty willing to try almost any food, but love italian and mexican probably the best.

First two are family and friends. Always.

Music. I always underestimate how important music is to me, but music is so therapeutic for me. Not to mention often fun, especially when singing at the top of your lungs in the car.

My hiking shoes. They keep me "grounded to the ground" especially on slippery terrain, which I need since I'm super clumsy.

Movies and books. The same reason for both. They are an escape from reality. Which is sometimes needed.

hanging out with friends or home reading or watching a movie. I am not a huge partier, but I do enjoy being out with the right person!
